Hang on a minute... World's first?!

Have they never heard of Helix, Manta, Full Throttle etc? A complete and utter false claim, much worse than anything Alton have done!
The ICON shop looks stunning, a very high quality finish and I like the reference to the project name.

I only hope the station looks as good as that come opening day.
Alton Towers for me. I like the park's setting and atmosphere, but personally I only rate two of their coasters above average; Nemesis and The Smiler. Elsewhere the park has suffered from operational cutbacks and a reduction in flat rides, so doesn't really offer a fully-rounded experience...
Yeah I'm aware they have minor rot in places, but not actual holes in the track - and I'd suggest the running rails didn't look fit for use after two months of no maintenance.
No, they do, but I'm saying that if BPB had kept maintaining the ride as normal it wouldn't have deteriorated as much in the final two months of the season.
Hence why the other wooden coasters don't have holes in them!!
I was surprised to receive such an in-depth reply from Dreamland, even if it does contradict the images of the ride being carefully dissembled.
I think the condition of the ride in October 2017 following two months of zero maintenance is indicative that they never intended to reopen it, or for...
I have read conflicting information regarding King Solomon's Mines. This article interestingly displays the ride being carefully dismantled, apparently heading on its way to Dreamland;

However, I recently contacted Dreamland to ask...
The Smiler's aesthetic is terrible in my opinion, apart from the marmaliser it's just a concrete mess with a few things tacked on.
The Wicker Man structure looks good in those photos but it's probably only for the photo shoot IMO, much like how the interior of Derren Brown's Ghost Train looks...
Icon is included in wristbands. The £16 boarding pass is for a certificate, non-rider access to the park and one ride on Icon - if you already have a wristband, the only benefit is the certificate.
Grand National is really going to struggle on the throughput side of things this year, in fact I expect the whole of North Park will as the only rides with decent throughputs are Derby Racer and Flying Machines.
Will be awful walking through the FY4 area without the sights and sounds of the...
I would like to see the park make a gesture of some sort towards the Wild Mouse, maybe a display featuring a ride car as well as a few facts & pictures of the ride. I could see it fitting in quite nicely in the entrance under Noah's Ark, where they put the furnace for Vampire Beach.
Wouldn't...
The name of the topic is Wild Mouse at BPB Closure - R.I.P 1958 - 2017. This is literally the place for people to "post their grief," if you don't like it, don't read it!
