I suppose that is a good point about craning their necks. I just love the different sensations that a rotated seat gives.

    Strange undeveloped coaster concepts

Still under-developed I guess haha. And I meant more on a true, thrilling coaster. That appears to be a small-scale indoor coaster.

    Strange undeveloped coaster concepts

I think permanent sideways seats would interesting. We've obviously seen a lot go backwards or spin, but never really a stationary sideways seat (kind of like a surfing position, but seated). I have found on spinning roller coasters that a sideways orientation is a great change of pace (vertical...

    Coasters That Go Backward

For me it's normally D, but in select cases C. On a rougher coaster (i.e. boomerangs) backwards sections are boring and gimmicky, but on smoother coasters (most notably Time Traveler) backwards sections can be awesome. That first drop backwards is insanity.

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

After visiting both Kemah Boardwalk and Silver Dollar City this week my list has some major changes. Here is my updated top 15, new additions have explanations: 1) Boulder Dash 2) Maverick 3) Skyrush 4) Superman The Ride 5) Wicked Cyclone 6) El Toro 7) Boardwalk Bullet - This ride is a hidden...

Le Pal | Yukon Quad | Intamin Family Launch (Juvelen Mirror Image)

Wow I haven't been paying much attention to this ride. It looks incredible! The theming is amazing and gosh that thing flies through the layout!

Blackpool Pleasure Beach | Icon | Mack Multi-Launch

The end is SO twisty. The pacing on the second half looks so perfect in my opinion

Energylandia | Hyperion | Intamin Hyper coaster

That park sign looks so good!
  10. TMCoasters

    Liseberg | Valkyria | B&M Dive Coaster

I'll be there in mid-June so it's looking doubtful that Valkyria will be open :( hopefully that means the park won't be busy though in anticipation for opening!

God that zero car is sexy

Energylandia | Hyperion | Intamin Hyper coaster

This thing is looking amazing! That drop <3 Definitely seems to be on pace for a July opening. Personally not a fan of how short some of the hills are. It doesn't seem like they have enough steepness to really offer much airtime. I could be wrong, as it will take them at high speeds.

Which park for you has the highest average for all its coasters?

Interesting topic! Based on this system my top five parks ended up being- 1) Hersheypark: 5.857 2) Lake Compounce: 5.700 3) Cedar Point: 5.528 4) SFGAdv: 5.308 5) SFNE: 5.167 The actual order of my top 5 favorite parks is actually 1) Cedar Point 2) Hersheypark 3) Lake Compounce 4) Knoebels 5)...

Silver Dollar City | Time Traveler | Mack Looping Launched Spinner

I think if there were few enough trims that the front two cars had good airtime on the drop though, the back two would have borderline unsafe airtime.

How successful has your 2017 been?

Very unsuccessful with only 12 new credits. 2018 is looking very bright though as I will likely be getting 35+ credits including some really amazing ones (Helix, Wildfire, Lightning Rod, Iron Rattler, Balder, etc).

Blackpool Pleasure Beach | Icon | Mack Multi-Launch

I've heard good things about STOE. It apparently runs through the layout a lot faster than it looks from POV/off ride and actually has some nice airtime.

    Coaster Tournament '17 Finals!

Zero chance that Taron number 2 in the world. Maybe top 10
  18. TMCoasters

    Helix vs Taron.

Taron doesn't have a heartline roll though ;) I say Helix as it seems a lot more complete. Taron has a very repetitive layout

    What parks 'compliment' each other?

SFNE and Lake Compounce. Very different parks, but both great in different ways

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

I can definitely see where you're coming from there. All I've got to say is that you need to get back to Compounce. The reprofiling has done WONDERS for Boulder Dash. The turn after the drop is still quite rough, but it's absolutely flying through the course and the last few hills are MUCH...
