Where is the dry water ride category headed in the near future?

Whatever gets you off @gavin, each to their own.

£70 million spent on a park where they don't even own the land it's to be built on yet? This is the greatest money laundering scheme in many years.

Matt in all seriousness you want to drop a link to this thread to the guys pushing this park because there's obviously a pretty mint to be made from hyping it up and I don't think I've seen anyone in the media market it nearly as often as you have done.

They can keep her. Ffs I'd already committed to never flying with that **** airline again but that's sealed it.

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

Bit mad that one - the Balearics and Canaries are doing fine, it's just the big spike in Catalonia that's caused it. And if we're being pedantic, the rate in Spain is still less than in the UK so you're still more likely to catch it here. But yeah, bit of a kick in the teeth that.

Go for it - I'd be surprised if the majority aren't pre-vetted questions and self-submissions to allow them to create the illusion of wide interest - but you may get through.

That's the equivalent of me amending the number of lottery wins I'm going to have this year down from 6 to 4. Spoiler: I don't buy lottery tickets.

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

I think it's too soon to say hold off just yet - although the cases are climbing they're all in little clusters that can be contained and likely will reflect what happens in the UK in the coming weeks.

I'd seen a report they were trying to install this new bit of theming in a novel way but just ruled it out as a load of hot air.

What's the roughest coaster in the UK and why?

Loathe to chuck a Wild Mouse in here as they're inherently rough on purpose but **** me, that one at LWV that's killed a few people was horrific too.

What's the roughest coaster in the UK and why?

Easily The Ultimate for me - whilst the National is rough, it's re-rideable at least. I can give it a few spins on a visit and from my visit last year, Big Dipper was actually rougher and more painful. The Ultimate was just painful and I wouldn't ride it more than once in a visit, nor do I...

    Incident at Thorpe Park

Agree with that entirely - it's a situation most involved will likely never have had to deal with or respond to and by early accounts they've handled it well. For me, the wider issue has to be not around how he got a knife inside, but actually why he did so. That's a societal question not...

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

I've been following the situation in Spain quite closely and by all accounts they seem to have really knuckled down and dealt well with it. That's not to say it was perfect because it wasn't, but by and large they locked down quite quickly, and extremely strictly, and yet it was adhered to...

Do you find The Smiler at Alton Towers rough?

I went for no as the majority of rides I've had on it haven't been rough. I have had one awful one though - I think it depends on the train you get, and several other conditions too. I'm convinced the one rough ride I had was on a train with square wheels. You will also find that the more you...

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

Idk, a ventilator tube done my throat seems like a worse alternative. I just don't get the logic behind refusing to wear a mask? I mean, I guess it makes sense given there was initially a refusal to wear seatbelts when it became mandatory, and certain people will always find a way to complain...

    Rank your ridden CCIs

Tomahawk - Love this little gem Stampida - It's just too painful to enjoy more than the once. Megafobia - Meh. I've only had the one ride on it and it was pants.

Coasters you like that others don’t and a coaster you don’t like that others do

Rides that I like that most people don't: Kumali - That sweeping first drop is brilliant and it's smoother than most SLC's Velocity - Just a really nice, solid coaster Thirteen - Could probably lump this in with Smiler too, in that I don't think people actively dislike them as rides rather they...

    "Sleeping Giant" Theme Park

They're never going to compete with Alton Towers - they don't have the funds, nor the strength of brand, so to me at least they've been quite wise so target the family/young child market - Thomas Land was huge for them. That said, there is still massive potential there for them to expand...
