I got the Cedar Point "flat" info directly from the Cedar Fair conference call last month...
Yes but they're CHEAP investments. They're making cash again, but they're holding on to it this time. You will NEVER see a large coaster investment in any of their parks ever again...unless the company is purchased by someone with deep pockets. Their attitude towards SFMM in particular is, the...
Given what SF has added as a chain this year, I'm wondering what the folks upset about WCR would have switched with? One of the Super Loops? The Free Fly? Another record breaking swing ride? Ooooo...I got it! The indoor Cyborg ride that SFNE got!
LOL... Your friends planning a trip to CP isn't going to sure up their flat attendance. Their new attraction is failing... Period. Just because you're a fan or not a fan of an addition doesn't guarantee its success or failure .. Come on.
You're the one with a singular narrative .. If you don't...
^^^^^ What planet have you been on? CP's attendance has been flat or down all summer long. SV for all it's greatness has not drawn guests back to the park as the company had hoped. Sure the one's in the park are going to line up for it, but people are not planning trips around it.
As for WCR...
They will? The same GP that isn't showing up to ride the great Steel Vengeance, but are showing up to ride a pretty standard Gerstlauer coaster at Knott's? Okay...
And really, the GP will notice and STILL show up to ride this. Besides, SFMM is in the unique position of having X2 and Tatsu in the...
LOL... The GP will eat this ride up. Especially if it duels every time out, unlike it's big brother across the park. I do think the theme is a little tacky, but so is California ..
Yeah, I absolutely get the TC comparisons, and I'll even go so far as to say that both WCR and Full Throttle share a similar look due to Premier's unique coaster stock. I guess my real point is that is doesn't bother me either way.
Two racing coasters in one park doesn't bother me. Two mobius...
^^ It makes sense to who though? Enthusiasts that literally complain about everything, or the many guests that are going to show up, without these pre-conditions and just enjoy the ride? Because at the end of the day, which group do you think SF cares more about?
I'm not in denial, I just don't give two craps. Yes they were both built by Premier Rides, so they have similar ride stock. To me that's where the comparisons end. One is a racing coaster, the other is a Sky Rocket model.
Full Throttle is a linear design. It doesn't even turn or manuver in any...
I already said the TC comparisons are valid. I'm sure that was intentional. But please explain how it's like FT. Does it have hang time in a giant loop? Launch backwards? Crest over a top hat?
I know you don't like the ride and that's fine. But please with the drama...
I didn't realize unique...
But they have completely different goals as rides. Full Throttle is about hangtime. That's all it is really, an oversized Sky Rocket. WCR is a family street racing coaster. Absolutely nothing like Throttle besides launches.
Looks like a really fast, larger Sky Rocket III. That's not a bad thing, but SF is stuck in eternal short coaster purgatory. Damn, that bankruptcy really did some permanent damage to this chain.
This ride has unique California feel though, as much as Hangtime at Knott's. I also don't get the Full Throttle comparisons.. At all.
TC...yes. It's almost a second chance to do the racing correctly, in full view. You can't watch TC at all (except from the parking lot).
