Silver Dollar City |"Outlaw Run"| Rocky Mountain Wood

Well, this is the first thing to make me get interested in roller coasters again in years! Yes there's the whole 'is it wood, isn't it wood' debate, but to be honest I don't give a toss, because it looks mega anyway! Definitely need to plan a trip over to the US.

That track is possibly the best thing i've heard in years. I love it. Album's pretty good too, definitely worth a listen, and definitely more worth spending money on than the new Bloc Party effort!

    What is your irrational fear?

Spiders, yeah. Its completely irrational, because I know they're not going to kill me or anything, but i'd probably rather kill myself than be in a room with anything of a decent size. I shared a pub with a Tarantula once, proper bricked it for 10 minutes or so, even though it wasn't visible...

    How manly are you?

75% for me. Seems reasonable, considering I had to choose between a few completely unapplicable answers, and ended up deciding the less-manly answers were probably more likely...

Food you just can't live without

Cheese, yeah. If anyone ever told me I was lactose-intolerant, I might just die on the spot.

    Silver Star

^That final s-bend on Silver Star was always the best part! I'm from the camp of actually loving it. Admittedly i've not ridden it in, erm, quite a lot of years, and it might've deteriorated, but I really enjoyed it. Its not intense by any stretch (unless height makes things intense for you)...

    Your 2011

2011 was another quiet year, but better theme park-wise than 2010's sparseness! Throughout the year, I managed a trip to Alton, plus Bobbejaanland, Walibi Belgium & Adventure Island. Sounds awfully quiet, but when you consider that the previous year I didn't visit a single theme park, its not...

How far have you moved from home?

About 25 miles to Liverpool for uni for 4 years, but now, about 2 miles from my family home, and just over 5 mins drive!

    Laptop Buying

Cheers Phil, just bought an HP! To be fair, I got it cheap due to father's contacts (he used to work for them), but i'm just happy to have anything, because my old Dell was about a year past the true end of its life.

Re: Formula One 2011 Gascoyne reckons most teams will have to do noses like that, but we'll see I guess. It's supposed to be more aerodynamically aggressive than before, hope they do well with it.

    "Now Showing"

For a Hollywood remake, it's actually pretty decent, albeit as a fan of the books (which are amazing, may I add) there's a few bits altered that weren't in the original Swedish film. Good job though, Daniel Craig was alright, I thought the casting of Lisbeth was better, and Trent Reznor's...

    Albums of 2011

Albums of 2012 in my opinion: The Vaccines' debut was without doubt the most stunning and confident debut I've heard in years. Definitely my album of the year. Ed Sheeran's debut was also pretty stand-out, although I've flitted between loving it and being less than interested. Kasabian's...

Re: Formula One 2011 ^Liuzzi's well out of there I reckon, but Ricciardo should get a Toro Rosso drive too. They're not going to go to the effort of putting him in a different team for 6 months to not give him a proper drive the year after. Hulkenberg & Di Resta ftw at Force India!

Moving away from metal... As currently seen on the LoveFilm advert, James Vincent McMorrow's cover of 'Higher Love' by Steve Winward. BEAUTIFUL cover, one of the best i've heard in ages. He can't really do anything wrong in my eyes at the moment though, album's worth checking out too...

    English Football Season 2011/12

^One day i'll beat you again! I need to actually remember I have a team for the whole season todo that though... It'll be nice to see us actually start playing this season, although I have a feeling it might not be a brilliant one to be an Everton fan this year. We'll see though.

Re: Formula One 2011 I'd love to have Sky, but its an expense thats not necessary, its a luxury we'd need to really consider, so its a shame. ...and another. Ed Sheeran's new track 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You'. His first track was good, but a bit like everything else singer-songwriter-y, but this is mega! Its a complete change, upbeat, catchy, really energetic, shows he can do a bit of all-sorts. Definitely worth a listen, and...

It seems all I post is music recommendations at the moment, but i'll carry on anyway... ...and i'll carry on posting tracks by The Vaccines too! Firstly, Norgaard, which is the new single, and its only 1:39 long, so therefore awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VI3q4T-1Jc Secondly...
