Insane - Gröna Lund. Somehow we ended up being the second half exactly the opposite it's supposed to be. So all the positive G's were negative :--D It was almost too intense.
Think whatever you like, but I'll go all the way down. Maybe it's because up here in the north (Finland that is) we don't have that many airtime-machines. So leaving room between you and the restraint only results in danger and possible minor injuries instead of giving any airtime. The only...
What was the best new-for-you coaster you rode this year?
Insane - Gröna Lund. By FAR. Then again, I didn't ride that many new coasters this year.
Did you ride a coaster that opened in 2009?
As I mentioned above: Insane.
How many and/or which parks did you visit?
Linnanmäki x13...
Hurakan Condor and FrittFall Tilt (Gröna Lund), both stand-up floorless, share the first place for me. It's just insanely awesome falling free with next to nothing to keep you in place!
I've also ridden Mega Drop - Power Park (about 40m high). It actually gives quite a rush, 'cause you never...
(Dang, you beat me. I already started a topic in the Ride Construction)
But anyway, it's good to have a launched coaster (although it's not that intense...)
Jetline - Gröna Lund says on its seats, that the ride exceeds 4G in the drop after the first MCBR.
But seriously: Insane - Gröna Lund. We ended up being in the bottom of the last drop (before the last brake run) upside-down and stayed that way for the whole pull-out ! (if you get my point...
I'm sorry for bumping this topic back up again, but I just had to reply.
Last night, I saw the same dream about the twentieth time, and every time it gets on my nerve. I am at Linnanmäki (my home park) riding rides like a normal day, but then I realize the park has an Intamin freefall drop...
That's a great video! The only thing that bothered me was that there was barely any Salama shown. I think it's one of the best coasters there. But anyway it's interesting to see videos of my home park.
It really is a shame I couldn't join you.
Same here. After my first ride ride I was literally shaking as I had never before experienced nothing like it. Luckily for me, HC was a walk-on that day. Rode it ten times! Oohh the euphoria... :--D I still find HC the best flat ride I've ever ridden!
Another came at Liseberg, riding...
On Hurakan Condor I've had the most adrenaline. I was shaking after my first ride and couldn't stand still! It was euphoric! Luckily, HC was a walk on that day. cool) So I rode it ten times in a row to get a ride in each car.
But the scariest moment was in Uppswinget, the Screamin' Swing at...
I really hope that stopping is only due to testing. If it's going to be that way...Goodbye pacing. And that makes Kirnu WAY better.
But thanks for these videos! I've been waiting anxiously!
Personally, I hate getting scared. That's why I don't do any ghost trains... But the thing to scare me most is the shock. Not only a light or sound, but a touch would probably drive me insane, in right conditions.
Those trains are pretty slick! I like the first car and the colours!
I see it has only a lap bar. I wonder how it manages to hold you still in those fast-paced inversions, especially in the inline twist?
The restraints are quite comfortable, like a seat belt in a car. First lowers the lap bar and after that, the OTSR part is tightened. If you sit a bit crouched, you'll get a VERY unpleasant ride. But if you sit normally, they are barely noticeable. In the ZacSpins the most forceful part is the...
