After being in the park today, looking at the size of the site of The Flume and the amount of room from there to Ripsaw. If the rumours are true it'll be one hell of a ride!
But until work starts I'll sit idle watching on in this thread!
Excellent update Ian, it's certainly coming together nicely! Love what you said about the ride interacting with the queue and getting the young visitors excited, excactly what the queue is for! Not a cattle pen to force everyone into (like Merlin does)
Wow it looks really really impressive, the rock landscaping around the suspended ride is amazing. That swooping turn over the shop will really wow the kids when they see it.
Lovely to see my 'home' park I grew up at flourish!
Re: Alton Towers submits planning permission
^ Interesting padding on the hand rails and on the 'lap' part of the restraint. Guessing this is where the VR headset sits and will be put on from? With it affixed to both sides of the handles?
Don't know if the operations of this have been...
"So weve removed/closed 7 rides and added a lot of fencing, that'll be £52 sir"
There must be something massive in the planning, as they will continually lose money if there isn't significant investment made to draw people back.
Clarence Pier in Portsmouth is installing a large ferris wheel dubbed 'Solent Eye', looks like it's arrived for assembly this weekend.
