Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train (WC16) | Thorpe Park | May 2
I've just made a in-depth review of Derren Brown's Ghost Train.
It's quite techy and not your usual review, so have a look! :)

I think that little hump before the drop is to control the speed of the long train so that the back seats don't get stupid ejector.
I'd say it's more of a safety implement and a way to use the coasters maximum height and potential speed without using magnetic fins which would affect the trains...
I agree with Ben and I'd go to say that it extends further than just this ride. There are parts of Shanghai Disney that look completely out of this world and there are other parts that look like it wasn't made by Disney at all. Very mixed looking park and I'm not all that keen on it.

Really, the amount of things you've said like this, and you're gonna call me out?
You know me better than this now, come on...

I had a Merlin manager over at my house the other day (not mentioning names) and has been through it with only a few of the things working. He/she said that the he/she didn't have high hopes for this thing, but says it knocked his/her...
I honestly don't get it?
I mean, I love all the shots, but what is it trying to be? Documentary.. A film?
I'm with Lofty on this one. It's all a bit up in the air for me. It's confused, but I love the quality that you're trying to establish here. Once you find it's legs, I think it will be a...
Wow, I didn't actually know that the planning varied as much as that! I thought it was only the gardens that had major restriction and everywhere else were zoned similarly to one another. Didn't expect it to be as vast as that.
Thanks for the image Ben! :)
What I really hate about this theming is that everything feels like a pieced together facade. It feels like Chessingtons Mexicana area where all the buildings roof tops are pieced together pieces of garden fencing. It's all a bit 2-Dimentional. There's no depth or forced perspective. Just feels...
Not overly impressed by that take on Buzz Lightyear..
I'm not excited at all by the exterior of Tron. I think it's probably the poorest example of a Disney coaster aesthetically during the day. It just looks a bit.... Merlin?
