I work in a completely different industry but have to apply to the government for permissions for things every so often, and there is an aspect of ‘well we’ve got permission for this kind of thing before, let’s apply referencing our previous applications without putting in the full detail for...
Interesting. I haven’t ridden Kondaa yet but thought the airtime on EGF’s twisting drop was really powerful and sustained, especially back row of course. These things can surely be profiled to maintain maximum airtime through the turn!
Parc Asterix? Obviously Goudurix is like being repeatedly punched in the face, but Oziris is an absolute joy (and I imagine the new Intamin will be even better).
Got to say, aside from the good news it’s finally testing - the newer (not even newest) Intamins just look so much better aesthetically than the old generation. Colossus is a pretty rubbish coaster but it’s not helped by also looking quite rubbish (track-wise I mean, the original setting with...
It looks great, but I almost feel it’d work better without the beyond-vertical drop, or even a normally-inclined one to make the most of the view. I guess you can contemplate the view on the lift up at least before all hell breaks loose :D
The crest of the first launch of Ride to Happiness. Not the world’s most powerful launch (it’s a Mack) but holy bejesus at the top of the hill without upstop wheels I’m convinced you would enter orbit. Now maybe it’s because it’s a pretty sharp transition from near vertical to flat, but the...
Is the main reason this is thought to be the Surf track the colour? From my untrained eye it looks like completely normal B&M track so will be interesting to see if the trains are anything different (if this is indeed for Seaworld).
Now that I think about it, was there ever confirmation that...
Love that a standard cutting the ribbon ceremony isn’t hardcore enough, they have to burn it instead 😁

Coaster open! 😀
And would they have ordered the track before planning was consented? Perhaps provisionally but I imagine it’ll take a bit of time to manufacture - B&M’s plant isn’t lying empty waiting for an order.
Then the actual job itself will take a long time surely - as well as track removal in a...
That’s a fantastic call, it’s even got the flat section at the top of the lift and the enhanced support structure. Saying that, the rest of the layout looks a bit mad but it’s clearly placeholder until they’re ready to confirm the actual plans.
This is in the expansion bit on the parking north...
Vekoma just confirmed they’re building four tilt coasters in the coming years:

I can only think of three:
- Energylandia
- COTALAND
- Six Flags Qiddaya
Do we have any ideas on the fourth?
I’m sure @JoshC. is right that this is probably nothing significant, just a standard role. Perhaps as simple as someone leaving the incumbent position.
However to put on my optimistic hat - whilst the Nemesis retracking is a major project, it’s not likely to excite the public or increase...
My thoughts went: ‘Vekoma - looks completely fine’…, to ‘Premier making an invert?! And what a long ride time backwards for a family coaster’…, to ‘Gerstlauer?!!?!! Making a family invert?! With a vertical lift?!?!!! But with probably the most fun layout?!’…
So I thought I’d prefer the Gerst...
Brief update after visiting the park on Saturday: the coaster is indeed open but only on one train, perhaps suggesting the issue is indeed with the other. On the other hand, I wonder whether the park are running one train simply because it’s not busy enough for two. At this point in the season...
