Or trains will be shortened much like on Red Force.
I am sad that such an icon is closing as it is, because the sheer power of a hydraulic is unmatched but I am all for it so long as it can keep operating. Hopefully it wil be reborn as a swing launch coaster with LSM.
Top Swing Dragster, here...
It's better to get a no after being honest with the park about your video than recording it and then not being able to use it commercially/use without permission and maybe facing a lawsuit.
So, today a tower ride in India has crashed, ala Mach Tower, but with people on it.
Mod edit: I have marked the below video as a "spoiler" as a stand in for a NSFW tag. Whilst the video is not graphic, it's intense and does show people being injured. Viewer discretion is advised.
It seems...
As a whole, this project screams laziness. After all, it's Parques Reunidos we are talking about. They are going to do the bare minimum to keep milking the park. After a long (meaningful) coaster drought, this Gerstlauer inverted coaster looks half-assed. In fact, it looks like the inverted...
They would need two of those. Hagrid's proved that in order to run a coaster that features a drop track and still achieve an insane capacity, you need two to allow for one side to reset while the other is accepting the next train. We haven't seen this on the plans.
This is a nice surprise! Correct me if I am wrong but is this going to be Zierer's first shuttle coaster?
Having two coasters dueling will greatly help with capacity, as these shuttle coasters don't have high numbers.
I am shocked at the amount of investments by Merlin.
Shame RMC has discontinued the production of topper track. Now they offer something called 208 ReTrak, which are sections of I-Box track fitted in high-stress areas of current coasters (Lightning Rod, for instance).
Not necessarily. After all, SF was the one who purchased the prototype in Superman, and that one has operated with lapbars only just fine. Maybe SF won't ruin the ride with comfort collars unlike SeaWorld.
As I recall, on Nemesis the panel ride op would call single riders on the mic without batching them first (as in, "single rider, row 1", "single, row 3", etc.) as airgates were letting the next group.
It actually makes sense. Premier has switched to LSM on all new coasters since Mr Freeze opened. Seeing how expensive running a coaster like this is, it is rather smart to completely retrofit it with LSM, new trains and maybe give it a new name/twist.
Someone was throwing the possibility of...
Somebody is clearly doing money laundering with these small B&M coasters at Merlin. Like, why would such a park invest in a big, expensive piece of hardware for what will essentially be a kiddie Wing coaster with a (hopefully not) 1.4 m height restriction?
Surely they could choose other less...
There are a couple of coasters with drop track in Europe. It's not going to be that.
When the walls go up you can kiss goodbye to seeing more visible construction.
Why not go with the tried and tested Gerstlauer? It has operated for quite some time without issues. And they have proven capable of providing LSM launches with adaptable configurations (like on Fury).
