Basically Drayton having a night out with friends and playing truth or dare after 10 straight shots of cheap vodka.
Then, when they woke up the next morning despite realising what they had dared to buy from Maurer, it was too late. And then it shut.
Kids, learn your lesson: never drink and buy...
Hopefully this means that the coaster won't have an excessively dull return trip. Maybe it's going to boost the train both before the helix going forwards and then going backwards before the inversion?
PortAventura are relying on the fact that most GP don't even have a clue what a dark ride, let alone a dark ride coaster is. The closest most GP might have experienced is Space Mountain or RnR at DLRP, and half of them probably don't even make the connection between Uncharted and SM/RnR.

Since they have just worked with Mack on their spinner, I was hoping they might be hinting at a Twist'n'Splash by Mack. They are great family attractions. However, having seen that the announcement is for a 2024 attraction, it seems more reasonable to think of a rapids ride. If they want to save...
I really hope they don't: Rita is such a punchy little launcher. These models are a dying breed, and Rita seems fairly popular, so if running costs still justify keeping it running, yay!
Seeing how Dollywood has basically cut down all trees around terrain rides, I wonder what's the point of having this coaster going around the gentle slopes of the area without any trees that give a sense of speed and adventure into the forest. It is going to look bare...
As for the colour...
I feel like the salesperson at Intamin made a deal with Spanish parks that theirs coasters would be cheaper if they bought them in black. That, or Intamin and a certain provider of black paint have a secret deal.
I think that the track will have the same profile, just like when Hulk was rebuilt. It is very expensive to modify the shaping / banking of a section of layout. You need to recalculate forces exerted on trains, riders and the coaster itself. It just doesn't pay off when a coaster was just fine...
If RCS are working on this, expect the coaster to be fully built by next week.
As for the coaster featuring a small outdoor section, this will be a 100% indoor ride.
PS. Does having supports and assembly crew on site qualify for moving this thread to Ride construction? :-)
Why is Disney taking so long to build a clone of Tron? Why do SF suck so much? No one knows.
On a serious note, maybe the park needs to justify the empty lot where the top spin used to sit. After all, the park, as far as I know, is a sort of NGO by which all profits go to social causes. Maybe...
