This expansion looks really dull.
They could have done something really fun with it, but all in all, it just looks like the same accommodation with different decals.
I'm sure it will still cost £400.00 a night - excluding breakfast, tickets and parking.
The map is very bland. I know they're rebranding this year, but it just looks so corporate and flat. Where's the excitement - Hyperia looks like a family coaster!
True - but also Drayton Manor haven't had the best track record.
However, they are turning it around with new owners - so I shall reserve my judgement!
I agree with this, and my worry is, even if it is heavily themed with a story-led element - give it two or three years and it won't work.
We don't have a very good track record of dark rides and experiences being looked after in the UK...
Here are some more pictures of the updates happening at Paultons.
By the sounds of it, it's going to be an exciting season for the park. The park needs a few more indoor attractions for when it rains.
The track is almost complete and they've installed a 30ft 'minifigure' which looks awsome.
A great addition to the resort in my opinion - Legoland has been crying out for a new coaster for years, and now they've essentially got 2 at the same time.
This is truly the most bizarre concept for a theme park I've ever seen. They're really clutching at straws here, and I think it will be even more unpopular than the Bollywood theme.
I'll eat my hat if it's still operating in that current format in 5 years.
I agree, I don't think anyone was really holding out much hope that they'd turn the park around so quickly, if at all.
Looping didn't really have any parks in the same ball park as Drayton Manor in their portfolio, so I thought they would trundle along happily but not really doing much apart...
It's going to be a very exciting year for Drayton Manor, it's great to see they're investing in such quick succession and really trying to turn the park around.
Can't wait to see this thing finished - hopefully they'll make an announcement soon!
I love Europa Park, and it's one of my favourite theme parks on the planet. However, I felt that their roller coaster lineup was always excellent, but was missing that real stand-out coaster.
I think this is ticking that box and some!
A rather dramatic and cheesy video has landed from Gardaland teasing their new for 2024 attraction.
Here's some very vague details about the attraction - LINK
I really feel this could be a turning point for Drayton Manor.
I like the fact they are making cohesive lands again - as it did feel the place was becoming a bit of a mishmash of themes.
Whatever they do - you can't go too far wrong with a western theme.
I mean - that is dream come true territory but I am very sceptical. It's not the first time we've been offered a big budget theme park for it only to fizzle out into nothing.
I for one love to be proven wrong - so Universal - I beg you - prove. me.wrong!
I'm really not sure about Football being a cohesive theme for a theme park.
Ferrari - I get it, Dreamworks - 100%, but Football - what really could they theme stuff around?
It would be a hard push for a land, let alone a whole park!
