If it's anything like the top hat on Pantheon then it will be some of the most insane ejector you can experience! Pantheon also has a trim at the top but it's totally fine, doesn't ruin it.
Interesting! I much preferred Intimidator at Carowinds to Goliath at SFOG. The airtime delivered on every hill on Intimidator and it didn't have the rattle that Goliath had. Goliath just felt a bit sad and knackered by comparrison.
But yeah, Intimidator doesn't stand a chance at all against I305!
Copperhead Strike rides NOTHING like Icon. It has really jerky transitions, very little airtime, really slow launches (you don't even get any airtime over the 2nd launch with speed hill) and the whole ride just felt like a joyless barage of hangtime. It was one of my biggest disappointments of...
It's a close call between VelociCoaster and Pantheon for me as well. They are both excellent rides and VelociCoaster is definitely better in terms of complete themed experience. But I personally preferred the layout on Pantheon and all the insane launches.
Sadly I missed the opening of Iron...

Ever been in a crowded amusement park in 36° heat with no shade?
Ever been stung by a hornet and had an allergic reaction where your arm swelled to twice its' size so you had to seek medical help in said amusement park?
Ever seen a teenager try to punch a goose?
And that was just our day at...
Firstly, you are not a wuss for not wanting to go in a scare attraction. It simply sounds like you know yourself and your boundaries, and that is a good thing. If costume characters and forced participation make you uneasy, it's completely fair enough to believe scare attractions may not be for...
Most pleasurable:
This year I've been regularly popping into Thorpe Park on my own when I have a weekday off work and it's been amazing. It's great being able to walk to the park from where I live. I think I've made a total of 5 impromptu visits and never queued longer than 10 mins for...
I have been wondering if I happened to catch Taiga on an off day. These Intamin launchers can vary wildly. Even watching it off ride it looked so slow that day. I just watched a POV from a few years back and it looks much faster in that footage (although POVs aren't always the best ways to judge...
My bandmates and I exit Helsinki airport where a member of festival staff picks us up. "What do you plan to do whilst in Helsinki?" he asks. "Have a few beers, watch some bands, play the show, hang out, eat" they reply.
"And you?" he turns towards me.
"I WANT TO GO TO LINNANMAKI!" He laughs. I...
Oh @Nitefly - you had the exact opposite experience to us at Magic Kingdom! 😂 Interesting to read how one persons hell can be anothers heaven!
Your MK report further fuels my opinion that to be able to enjoy Walt Disney World the guest is expected to throw insane amounts of money at it. The...
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Swarm at Thorpe Park, I interviewed You Me At Six at the top of the ride for Kerrang. Admittedly I've never been fussed on the idea of a coaster climb before, but the views were excellent and I would do it again. We did the interview when the park was...
Ooh, great topic!
This may sounds surprising but... Walibi Belgium. Dalton Terror is the best, floatiest drop tower I've ever ridden. I would take Dalton Terror over Kondaa, Pulsar and all the other coasters there any day. I just could not stop running round for more re-rides on it, which is...
In terms of most visited outside the UK, there's quite a few parks for me as I spend a lot of time on tour and tend to nip in to theme parks where I can. This boosts the individual visit numbers outside of my normal theme park holidays.
Phantasialand takes the crown for me with a whopping 7...
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this, I'm playing a show in Helsinki that day. Linannmaki is 10 mins down the road from the venue, so I will think of you all at Peppa Pig World whilst I'm riding Taiga!
