I had this dream once about an insanely cool B&M Dive Coaster.
It goes up the hill, then straight down the first vertical drop (unlike Oblivion and the others with turns beforehand). This drop is then followed by an airtime hill which is vertical on both the ascent and decent. This is followed...
I did a lot of revisits as a teenager but now I mostly try to focus on new parks, unless there are new significant coasters built.
I've still got a fair few left to do in the UK but am also starting to focus more on going to ones abroad. I finally have the money to actually do so!
There is a scoring system for Minen. You can't really see it on ride to my recollection but there's a board outside the exit that displays your results. I did also find it a bit wonky though...
Your views on the top 2 coasters at Tivoli are pretty similar to mine. Rutschebanen is much better in...
Sort of? I did pick an obscure coaster for number 50 because I realised it lined up (was the only coaster at the place I was at) but realistically I never properly counted before that, and now going forward it would just be a case of "prioritising good stuff rather than worrying about what...
I don't really prioritise kiddy coasters unless I am at a park where there aren't that many coasters to begin with such as Drayton Manor or Tivoli Gardens. I do count my credits, but more for my personal fun than anything else. I just like to see the number going up. I also try to go to parks...
My 0 is Drayton's Shockwave. RCT started it all, Klondike was my first looping coaster, then Great Yarmouth's Roller Coaster built me up. Shockwave was that "big coaster" I had to conquer, and I did. Shockwave was the one where that magic happened. Even though I have been on better, Shockwave...
I've only gone above the 50th mark so far, but I picked a pretty obscure and mediocre one for it - Tower Coaster at Zipworld Aberdare. It was probably better than what I nearly did, which was ride a random £5 coaster at a fair which just went around in a circle and I can't even find it on rcdb...
I work out, albeit I'm not in the gym all the time like some people, and I'm getting back into running as I used to do loads a few years back. I have ran two marathons but after that I kind of lost interest as I peaked there. I play videogames as well, but honestly hardly ever these days for...
It's about time Drayton did something lol. I know it's meant to be a family thrill coaster and they have very little space to work with but it might be a reason to go back there.
I also hope they never change Shockwave to a sit-down. It wouldn't be as iconic if it was a sit-down, and losing...
I didn't even know they were retracking Megafobia. It was enjoyable when I went a few years back but very very rough. I might have to go back now, especially as I was spited on most of the rides there anyway. Even though Oakwood is kind of not great and not the easiest place to get to...
Nobody ever talks about Smiler's back to back dive loops. These are quite intense and I just like the way you move when going through them. I wish there were more dive loops in the UK as these are in my opinion the best part of the Smiler, even above its airtime hills.
In the UK I'd say it definitely is more of a thing than perhaps a decade ago. We've had the Smiler crash of course but also the death on Drayton Manor's rapids. While it's ignorant to say these rides are typically unsafe all the time, the fact two major incidents have happened will...
This is probably going to be one of the best rides in the UK even though it's really short. Just like Swarm, that's going to be the thing holding it back. However the UK is **** for building long or tall rides so even getting a second hypercoaster is insane, and it looks like it'll be a lot...
While I think the veins are cheesy, I also am glad that it isn't just black/grey like basically every other coaster in Merlin's UK parks. I just hope that the ride isn't somehow less fun with the new track even though the layout is the same.
There was a day I went to Oakwood and all the coasters were closed except for Megafobia as it was extremely windy. I mean Megafobia was the one I wanted to do, but I still wanted to do everything else. It means I have to return to get the credit for Speed and the other smaller ones, and Oakwood...
I managed to get on 5 new coasters this month, which is far more than I have in a long time.
Tower Coaster, Zip World Aberdare
This one is obscure I think. It's some weird powered coaster which is disappointing as I thought it would be one of those alpine coasters that I haven't been on yet...
