It baffles me how that makes the news, anyone who knows anything about theme parks would know that stoppages happen on rides all around the world on a daily basis. The number of inaccuracies in the original article was laughable.
As for an evacuation from the MCBR, I'm jealous!
I don't see what their is to complain about, that is the sort of addition I would expect from a small seaside park and a big wheel of that size will be visible from outside the park, something which is important for parks on the seafront with potential customers in the area.

If they spend a huge amount of money (both on the ride and clearing the area) and then build something like Manta, I will be sorely disappointed.
Something similar to Helix would be a huge success for the park IMO, whereas Manta doesn't exactly look...

If BPB advertise it enough, it will bring people in. As for being the only multi-launch in the UK, that depends on whether you count Revolution.
That being said, I still think it's worth waiting for an official announcement from BPB before we start...

I believe they can build anything up to 500ft (as they can't build anything taller than the tower). A Star Flyer wouldn't really work at BPB as it would probably be closed a lot of the time due to high winds.
