1. Big Bad Wolf - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
100. Spinning Coaster - OWA
200. Road Runner Express - Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Once I hit 200, I reached a few smaller milestones.
240. Velocicoaster
And strangely enough, the last couple small milestones are boardwalk coasters.
250. Morey's...
Size isn't everything. I feel like it's more along the lines of a coaster taking advantage of its size to deliver the overall package.
I just rode San Diego's Manta yesterday and, while it's not big, it does pack a punch.
Same with Emperor. I thought Emperor was better than the other two Sea...
Swamp Fox (260) - I was really hoping this ride would be a hidden gem. Unfortunately it's probably best that it stays hidden. It's a decent ride in the front, but the further back you sit, the worse the ride becomes. It's really unfortunate because the airtime is fantastic and I do love the fact...
Tumbili (259) While everyone was at BGW celebrating Pantheon's opening, I made it to KD to ride the second to last coaster cred in VA that I needed. The ride had a fairly long line throughout the day, but fortunately it died down toward the end of the day. I got two rides in. Volcano side has...
Skyrush - Hersheypark
Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion
Phoenix - Knoebels
Fury 325 - Carowinds
Twisted Timbers - Kings Dominion
El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure
Iron Gwazi - Busch Gardens Tampa - dethrones Velocicoaster for my favorite coaster in Florida. Wow it was incredible.
Lightning...
Ice Breaker (257)
It was a cold day when I rode this. Crowds were insane due to Spring Break, but I still managed to get 7 rides in in various rows. There really isn't a bad row on this, but I did find the airtime to be better towards the front over the back. You get a mean pop of ejector going...
The only thing really missing from Pantheon aside from theming is the length. It definitely feels like it ends to quickly. That being said, it it packs a solid punch so the intensity makes up for it
The top hat feels really similar to Velocicoaster's top hat. I didn't really notice that much extra air going down the drop. Pantheon is a blast. The air is super strong in the double launch. Both Velocicoaster and Pantheon are neck and neck in my rankings.
I'll be riding Ice Breaker and Iron...
Its been a while since I've posted my top 10 here. Its shifted quite a bit.
1. Skyrush
2. Intimidator 305
3. Phoenix
4. Fury 325
5. Twisted Timbers
6. El Toro
7. Lightning Rod
8. Phantom's Revenge
9. Superman: the Ride
10. Velocicoaster this ride initially sat lower, but after riding Pantheon...
Pantheon (256)
This thing gives Velocicoaster a run for its money. While Velocicoaster has the advantage of a bigger theming budget and a much longer layout, Pantheon takes advantage of its short layout by packing a bigger punch. Better air on the double launch, a more forceful first inversion...
I've made three trips to Hersheypark in the past 8 years and Sooperdooperlooper has been closed all three times. The train is sitting in the exact same spot it always has without moving.
Done two trips to GAdv and Zumanjaro has been closed both times due to weather. First time was for high...
Its really not that hard. When you're walking by the kiddie coaster on the way to the bigger ones and you've got time to ride, hop on the kiddie ride and get a quick one out of the way as long as the line is short.
Of course the world class stuff has the higher priority and will pretty much get...
Idk I prefer being thrown around on coasters. That's why Skyrush is my number 1 and 305 is my number 2.
I'm not a huge fan of the RMC lapbars on Lightning Run. For one, they're heavy so they get in the way of any air you're potentially getting. Plus the shin guards are clearly designed by...
Got back from a PA park trip adding a couple new coasters to my count.
1. Skyrush - still holds up after 8 years and 100+ coasters later
2. Intimidator 305
3. Phoenix - This thing totally lives up to the hype everyone gives it. A perfect mix of strong floater and stand up ejector combined with...
Last new coaster credit?
Kozmo's Kurves - A surprisingly fun little kiddie coaster with a decent layout and a little kick to it.
Last major credit?
Knoebels Twister - Its basically one giant helix of a wooden coaster. Its got some really solid forces mixed in with small pops of air here and...
Afterburn & Montu are basically tied. Afterburn has the more forceful ride and is paced better but Montu is smoother and has the better setting. You really can't go wrong with either one really.
Nemesis Inferno is a really solid ride. Pulls good G's and has a good layout. The only thing holding...
Before becoming an enthusiast was about a decade.
After becoming an enthusiast, 2020.
January 1st to June 14th - a Python Pit broke that spell
June 28th was the first actual park visit (Trimpers Rides & Jolly Roger Ocean City) and first real coaster (Tidal Wave Vekoma boomerang)
July 2nd was...
Went to Kentucky Kingdom. Interesting place. My top 10 shifted a little thanks to that.
Skyrush - Hersheypark
Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion
Fury 325 - Carowinds
Twisted Timbers - Kings Dominion
El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure
Lightning Rod - Dollywood
Superman the Ride - Six Flags New...
