My worst spite probably has to be Flying Turns. I made my first visit to Knoebels in summer of 2020. Most of the park was short staffed, so I missed out on Impulse and Flying Turns. Came back to the park in 2021 and finally got the Impulse cred. Flying Turns was still closed. Let's try again in...
I got two rides on new Skyrush over the past weekend. The restraints and seats are really really comfy. The ride doesn't really feel as sketchy as it used to though. Part of what made the ride so much fun before was how sketchy it felt. I managed to get one ride in a middle seat and one edge...
I was planning to visit this year to hit up all the rides that were closed in 2020. Guess I might reconsider that.
Knowing how bad S&S screws up anything that's not a Screamin' Swing, shot tower or Free Spin, I'm kinda surprised Kennywood even went with S&S for something as one of a kind as...
Rip Ride Rockit is definitely a coaster that's pretty divisive. Usually you either really like the ride or absolutely hate it. I love the pops of ejector and onboard soundtrack. Layout is pretty fun too, although the trains don't track well at all. I'm shocked the onboard audio still works...
So the last two newest parks I've visited are Great America parks. I went to CGA in September for the first time since its closing forever soon. I missed a flight home in August and rebooked the flight for the end of October to do SFGAm. I wanted to compare the two parks
My last new cred was...
Disney has had a hand in politics since the beginning. This is nothing new.
Disney has reached that point where they're pricing people out of a weeklong vacation. Why go to WDW and pay insane prices when you can basically go on a weeklong cruise or a trip around Europe for less? Couple that...
1. Arie Force One - this ride is incredible in the back row. Pretty standard RMC in the front.
2. Twisted Timbers - a lot of RMCs feel really short. This one is the perfect length. Wish more RMCs were like this
3. Iron Gwazi - It has some great standout moments, but it feels a tad short for its...
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is my home park, so it has my most ridden rides. Apollo is probably the one coaster I've ridden the most, followed by Verbolten, Alpengeist and Pantheon.
Kings Dominion is my next home park. 305 and Timbers pretty much get the most rides from me. Dominator comes in...
Theme parks here in the States have been doing dynamic pricing for years now. Basically slower days are cheaper and busier days are more expensive. You can thank Disney for coming up with the idea of charging more on peak days. Most parks here give you two options to buy in advance. Pay a lower...
They're not really coffee table books, but I'm a huge fan of those "Images of America" theme park books. Most major parks in the US carry them. Here are a few examples

In the States, Disney and Uni generally have the best operations of any park I've been to. Disney's ops are pretty hands off when it comes to safety checks making it far more efficient to check each vehicle. Uni has standard ride checks, but they're known to be pretty efficient.
For regional...
It seems like Lighting Rod was suffering from your standard RMC issues. RMCs aren't exactly the most reliable machines out there.
Having the launch just made reliability worse
The entire lift structure would have to be completely rebuilt from the ground up, which would be far more time consuming and far less cost effective than just replacing the launch with a lift.
They've already pretty much redone the launch already and that didn't work out for them.
They look weird because you normally don't see those restraints from that angle. If you're looking at them from above, I'd imagine they'll look just like Pantheon/Velocicoaster
FJ is the better ride. I love the dynamic motion of the seats and the physical sets combined with the screens. Its one of my all time favorite theme park rides period.
Gringotts doesn't really do much. I love the tilt track and the launch at the end but the ride feels like it needs more to be...
