358: Penguin Trek - the ride starts out pretty fun with a neat dark ride segment and a launch with a nice punch, but after that, it kinda just meanders everywhere. No forces, no nothing. Yeah I get it's a family coaster, but family coasters can be punchy and fun. I did love the queue theming but...
I was waiting for this review. A lot of people tend to sleep on Knoebels. Little do they know, its truly one of the best parks in the country. The operations are phenomenal, there are tons of rides to choose from, and you can easily spend a couple hours there and still find more stuff to do. It...
You can start using your CF pass at SF starting January 6th, even if you bought the All Park add-on. You can activate your pass at any CF park. I don't know if you'll be able to activate it at any SF park. If Schlitterbahn or Canada's Wonderland is doing a sale, that'll be your best bet to save...
Following up my launch coaster rankings. In no particular order
Ride to Happiness - Plopsaland de Panne
Copperhead Strike - Carowinds
Cobra's Curse - Busch Gardens Tampa
Journey to Atlantis - Sea World Orlando
Journey to Atlantis - Sea World San Diego
Journey to Atlantis - Sea World San...
Mack doesn't really have many large launch coasters in the States. Its unfortunate
1. Ride to Happiness - My first Extreme Spinner, I went an hour out of my way to ride it, and it was well worth it.
2. Copperhead Strike - The launches aren't great but the whole package is excellent. Copperhead...
I'm kinda sad we're losing the last quiet part of MK for another ride that will command hours+ waits, but this was a change that was desperately needed. MK is too crowded and they really haven't added anything in ages so these new expansions will hopefully absorb the crowds a bit more. It...
I feel like that would be a capacity problem if the next train has to wait for the elevator to reach the top and then travel back down. Even with dual stations, I could see that slowing the line down.
Maybe if it has 4 stations or a separate load/unload, it might work better from a capacity...
I would love to see Castaway pick up the property. I didn't get to visit when I was in Ocean City (just had time for Castaway), but I heard the flume and dark ride are top notch. It would be perfect for them because they could expand similar to Jolly Roger at the other Ocean City.
I'd love to...
Its kinda disheartening to see them making so much progress on this park and then turn around and realize both Flash and Georgia Surfer are still under construction despite summer basically being over.
I'm really hoping they put more effort into their US parks in the future.
GAdv just announced their new passes will include all the parks in the future as well. Right now its still too early to know if dining plans/front of line will carry over across the board.
Its confusing but I'm hoping this will all be cleared after they start announcing new rides and pushing...
My primary home parks are
Busch Gardens Williamsburg - 20 min drive - I tend to go 1-2 times a month. Sometimes 3x if there's a special event going on
Kings Dominion - 1 hour drive - I tend to go once a month. Sometimes more if there's a special event going on
I'm spoiled enough to have...
Six Flags Over Georgia sent me 2 surveys today
They gave me 3 coaster options: a launched family coaster, a giga dive machine, and an indoor family coaster. The second survey was for a future kids area expansion. I chose the indoor coaster as my favorite of the 3, but I showed full support for...
I rode about a month ago and didn't think it was that bad at all. I got 3 rides in. Front row and middle row twice. The ride does have a rattle toward the end and the jolt in the last turn was weird but it didn't feel uncomfortable or cause any pain at all.
Knoebels markets itself as a park for everyone and they literally have something for everyone.
Free admission for those that don't wanna ride so everyone can enjoy the park grounds
For those that do wanna ride, their tickets and wristbands are very affordable.
Plenty of shade
Amazing food, but...
#357 - The Great Pumpkin Coaster @ Kings Dominion - I figured since adults can ride this now and its really not too far out of my way, I'd snag the credit. I actually got 2 laps on it because there was no line. Its a decent coaster. Its a little jerky in spots but I really do like this...
I just beat Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Switch the other day. Excellent game! I never thought I'd be playing a damn Mario game that made me cry. Thousand Year Door made me teary-eyed a little.
Currently playing through Red Dead Redemption 1 on Switch. I'm a massive fan of open world...
If I like a coaster enough, I'll always try to get at least 2 rides in. Oftentimes if the coaster is good enough, its tough to judge from just one ride.
My highest ranked coaster I've gotten one ride on is Moonshine Mountain Coaster in Pigeon Forge at 71. That was partly because I got stuck...
