Very true that Gavin.
What happened to these 'stages' of the park opening more and more classic stuff?
Oh, and I don't think it's replacing the Topspin, as there's a video with the Topspin sat next to it.
Someone was in the right place at the right time this morning, as they spotted a lorry containing GForce, the world's only Fabbri Giant Booster, heading back to Fantasy Island, after being removed 14 years ago.
Looks like the 180ft ride is going where the Mouse coaster used to sit.
I am now...
The mention of Vertigo is an interesting one... after that shambles you really would have thought that they'd go for something a little.... less complicated.
Speaking of M&D's, apprently they've removed the Space Coaster (crappy little Pinfari) and they're replacing it with their Fabbri Mad Mouse spinning coaster (usually on the travelling circuit).
So the biggest negative coming from Alton at the moment, is the hurrendous queues to get some grub.
All food outlets in the Dark Forest have been boarded up, plus most of them in Mutiny Bay and others dotted around the place. Some people have even been saying it's that bad, you're best to take...
I dunno, going by what I saw, Smiler was the only ride with a substantial queue.
On that note, it's funny that there's now so few rides at Alton, they've resulted to adding the Frog Hopper to the ride queue times list!
All these closures all over the park now sort of have a different feel about them. There could be so much new stuff to look forward to, not least this!
Re: Alton Towers submits planning permission
Can we not just keep this as the Galactica/Rollercoaster Restaurant thread?
(If so, please can someone change the title, it's a bit overdue ;) )
Edit: Split the topic. - ECG
Re: Alton Towers 'Announces' SW8
Yeah I know I'm going to be alone here, but I'd love to see a pirate themed Mack Water coaster.
Don't get me wrong, I love coasters I do. But I also love variety, especially at a park like Alton.
