I wouldn't say that compensation will finish the park off, but what about the HSE if it comes out that this was sheer negligence?

There's another news article where the park owner has stated that the coaster will reopen soon, and all of their rides are perfectly safe etc. Sorry, but no, on both accounts.

Going by all the pics that are doing the rounds (including the last one on page 3), it looks like a number of wheel assemblies just...sheared off.

I can't quite figure how the train is lined up how it is if it came off down the first drop...

If anything, surely travelling coasters are more likely to be safer, given how often they're dismantled and put back together? And I can't how it could of hit the structure first before derailing? It's obvious it smashed it way through the rides perimeter fence though...

Re: M&D's Tsunami has derailed Yeah the entire train has supposedly derailed. Which is just mental. Like furie said, everyone's worst nightmare, especially with inverted coasters! This just doesn't happen, like at all, ever.

I just don't get this, like at all. I can sort of understand the small seaside parks getting the Galaxi Pinfari's, as there's something classic about them, but these models are just abysmal. The trains basically don't have seats, but also come with heavy OTSRs. Unless they're going to get a...

Agree with Jamesss, that does look quite hideous. NYC does sort of need things like this though.

They've finally seen sense with their current pricing structure, and from this Saturday it will be free to enter the park, and you'll also have the choice to pay per ride!

Re: Atractiepark Slagharen to Build a New Coaster in 2017 You're not alone Sue, I have a lot of love for these! In fact this coaster was the main draw for me to go here (as a part or a Dutch trip mind), so I'm gutted to hear this, especially as it's likely to be replaced by something generic...

Only just noticed that s-bend in the second pic, meaning the launch must go into that horse shoe turn.... at a ridiculous speed to then have to make it over the large double up....

So did the forth guy just die? Or he is not an attention seeking arse wipe like the rest of them?

This thing just looks brutal! Steeplechase feels like it's trying to throw you out at 15mph, so god knows what this'll be like....
