Yes, can't wait for the day the canon at the launch (which is an awesome set piece) is becoming part of the Jules Verne story again. Even though it's been 15 years ago I rode it, so I don't remember the ride experience that well anymore, I like it's original theming a lot.
To be honest, I am not really sure about this. I expected the experience to work more as an optical illusion, but after seeing the animation the car doesn't really seem to co-operate with the fake track - for example when the track is damaged or when it needs to make the jump horizontally to...
Everybody on this forum from Belgium or the Netherlands knows that Plopsaland is themed towards a television studio creating televisions shows for small children. I think this "mature" makeover to the chain is a very tricky step, and I don't believe it's a wise one. But for them I hope to be...
1. Flying Coaster: only rode 1 coaster but it might arguably be one the the best of its kind in terms of seating position: F.L.Y. The sense of flying was really there and the coaster was amazing.
2. Invert/suspended Coaster: I rode two ****ty SLC's but fortunately also one B&M Invert that was...
Yeah I know, but to me personally the shape still doesn't really fit with the style of the theme. But like I said, I'll re-shape my opinion again when it's done.
Can't say I am a huge fan of the dome shape, doesn't really fit the castle style in my opinion. But maybe I will be positively surprised when building is finished.
I want to say the music piece for Spookslot at Efteling, Danse Macabre. But it's a classical music piece that isn't composed for the ride so not sure if this counts.
I get your point and my reply was not meant as disagreement. You're right. But what I am trying to say is that the emotion and constant awareness while being at such a place is probably bigger than the realistic chance of being spotted and getting into trouble for your sexuality. But I might not...
The problem is not that if you're part of the lhbti+ community you have to think about holding hands or not. It's bigger than that. It's about having the feeling you can't be your real self. The feeling that if park employees would know your sexuality you suddenly would not feel welcome anymore...
So far nothing beats B&M's track and the sound it produces, it has this great intimidating vibe. I also like the track styles of Intamin (both old and new) and new generation Vekoma.
Did only one trip this year, Phantasialand. Amazing trip though.
5 coasters ridden this year
New number 1 and 2 coasters I've ridden (Taron, F.L.Y.)
My first new generation Vekoma coasters (F.L.Y., Reik)
My first flying coaster
My first invert by B&M (Black Mamba)
New favourite park I've...
I agree with many of the above comments. Human rights get violated in a lot of countries, but SA is a step up. I would not be interested in going, for moral and ethical reasons, but I do understand that some of you go and experience this very special project.
To me personally there's also a...
I want to be interested in this project. But somehow I feel this project is only there to break records. And it's build by people that have too much money, they don't know what to do with it, so they decide to start a record breaking project in a desolated desert that probably is only going to...
Haha it could have to do something with the combination of the restraints and the fact that I am 2 meter (6.7f) tall. Blue Tornado has the terrible bold restraints that are uncomfortable for most people. But because my head reached above the ear pads my head was free of head banging. Blue...
I rode two of them. Condor at Walibi Holland was terrible. I thought Blue Tornado at Gardaland didn't have the roughness of Condor and I actually had a fun ride on it.
