Just a short update. I can only offer blurry pictures: The gate already mentioned is a fountain with waterfalls that greets the visitors on their way to the hotels. The park said that rooms for the Kronasar Hotel can be booked from Summer 2018 on.

The park is open today. Even the show "Immer wieder Sonntags" broadcasted from the Greek Area, is going as scheduled. The arial footage might come from a helicopter? Radio mentioned yesterday that they were above the park during the fire.

Just one small Update from Wednesday. Seems like the roof is being closed. There is still a lot of work left on the facades. Meanwhile the new Fountain Show is already working and pretty neat.

I could not find the thread for the 2018 attraction. I have been to the park last Monday and there was not a lot of progress on the sky-bar under construction next to Tonnere de Zeus.

Did Mack not say they are busy the next years so they could not even build a new coaster for their own park sooner? Perhaps this might be a reason for the choice of another manufacturer than Mack. But ... only rumors.

I wanted to bring a small update from the park as we went there last Friday. If this is the wrong thread, please put the post to the right place. The park is located near Catania a economically rather poor city (and not really worth a visit), the whole region rather lives of tourism. The park...

They mention that there are a lot of new effects and that you get even wetter than before. I am still skeptical, a lot of the theming looks cheap. Anyway... I already got my tickets and I will give it a try.

Looks like the opening has been postponed until June 1st. The park mentions the bad weather this winter and that the paths did not get ready in time. The announcement has been made on Friday (four days before the park was supposed to open), looks like the planning is pretty weird.

Why was the park so empty that day? This was not today, right?

mediapart.fr talks about the constructions finishing in time, but also about citizens wanting to sue the park because they fear rising numbers of visitors and the consequences coming with them.

It just to stand in the middle of the lake and they re-used it for the "Land der Vergessenen" / "Land of the Forgotten" which is supposed to lock dystopian. The theming is very incomplete, so the statue looks kind of lost there. But remember the poem "The New Colossus"? It kind of fits, haha.

The press release also says that the coaster will be embedded into a new themed area with Sledge Hammer and Typhoon. It also says it will be the highest and fastet triple launch coaster in the BeNeLux with the most inversions. Which does not say much because there are not a lot of triple launch...
