After getting off of SV, I had to think about it. Getting off of LR I just frigging loved it. In my mind, if it has to be processed or thought about...then it's behind the ones you just love immediately.
We were at Holiwood Nights about a month ago. After we ate, we got corralled into the picnic pavillion and couldn't leave to go ride some more. This went on until 9:15. Just enough time for thunderclouds to move in. Weather.com put them 42 miles away. I was first in line for the back seat on...
I get ridiculed a lot for saying I love Raging Bull in the very back seat.
The same for loving Valravn because it gives ya a great drop sensation every time.
Had to think about Steel Vengeance instead of loving it immediately. It has made me theorize that perpendicular airtime gives a better...
We talked about this a lot during our recent trip out there. First, we went on about what we would love to have, then on to what are they missing...and then what would fit in the space they've cleared. Love to have is a Mack Launch (a la Helix, haven't rode it but it looks great) Taron knock-off...
Holiwood Nights June 2, 2018...They held us in the picnic "Cage" 45 minutes past the time we were supposed to be let out. Ran to Voyage, was in line for the back seat - second train out when they shut it down (lightning) for a long enough time to say I'll never go back. Sucks because it was...
Might not be the most, but we did Fury and Lightning Rod on a whim in the same day. 1st ride on both...(Everything but Firehawk's twin in both parks- not enough Aspirin for that) Bailing on Holiday World the night before. Holiwood Nights, even.
The one post about older rides being not that great...Cyclone is great, the one at Lakeside (Denver) is great. Dragon Challenge when it Challenged was great. Magnum (3rd car) is great, Alpie, Montu, Raptor, Millie, Apollo's & Raging Bull in the back seat, Lightning Racer, Phantom...even the...
Out of the small price, nice ride category...the Chance Rides Hyper GT-X a la "Lightning Run" should be mentioned at least. Kind of a shame there's only one of 'em.
1. CP - not many parks can beat the 1,2,3 punch of SV, Millie, and Maverick
2. KI - I like this place slightly better than KD. The walk to the river rapids ride just amazed me.
3. Knott's - more about memories growing up. My first flume, and 2nd cred with steeplechase.
4. KD - I305 reminded me...
No particular order, but my favorites would have to be Montu or Alpie...I still love Raptor, too, though. Banshee or Diamondback didn't do a thing for me. I think it was at the tail end of a long trip, and we had our bellies flipped and dropped about 500 ways before we got there. We all had...
Kinda tough knowing that this list is going to change dramatically in about 42 days, 12 hours, 34 minutes and 28 seconds. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ready to ride.
Sit Down El Toro
Inverted Montu
Suspended Ninja (SFMM)
Wing Thunderbird
Flying Superman (SFGAm)
Stand Up...
The normal list for Europe and beyond...Hoping to go fall of 2019.
Domestically...after next trip (SDC, HW, KI, CP) would be in order:
Lightning Rod + (Dollywood)
Cheetah Hunt
Twisted Colossus/Tatsu
Boulder Dash
Phoenix
Ravine Flyer
Ride Of Steel SFNE
Twisted Timbers
Iron Rattler/New TG/Wonder...
