For me - jump blues always gets me going. Give me a 1 4 5 with horns and piano and I'll dance all night long. I remember some music theory class where they explained how and why Blues, and blues progressions got so popular. It's a primal thing, you can't ignore it.
I wanna see a launched, terrain-winged with minimal inversions by B&M. So much you could do with that. Less of ? Exclusive Fight Time at Six Flags' parks.
I sent 'em a congrats email and got this back right away- this is huge news for us who have to drive or fly quite a ways for a "big boy" park:
Good Afternoon Robert,
Thank you so much for the feedback and we are happy that people are excited! We are still working through other details...
Back in the day - 2001 ish? Canyon Blaster's "corkscrew bit" transformed what I was thought possible. The surroundings rotated to my center of gravity. Now? I think Wing Riders are the smoothest, non-inverting 'speed' coasters pack the most heartbeats, and terrain coasters are the most fun. As...
Our own personal taste - the kiddie flume ride is better than Timbers. Has nothing to do with RMC or Intamin. As coasters got more and more crazy during the coaster war period. We just needed more and more of an adrenaline rush to satisfy the craving is all. I love KI's layout and ambience, but...
It's funny, me and my sons were just talking about why does KI always come up short? Pun intended. We jokingly been calling it the no fly zone for years, because air time is limited, at best. I love the color, I love the looks of the drop and turnaround. Buuut - think I'm going out of my way to...
So I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a while. Instead of the run of the mill pov, the top 30 coasters that you can ride with your smartphone or dedicated headset. The thought was just get a motorcycle helmet, strap 5 or 6 gopros on it, stitch it together and bam! You're riding...
I won't go through the whole ding dang deal - but at least the last installment had a "Do it!" from the emperor. Literally spit coke and a laugh out loud moment for me and the kids.
Picky Bastard Part Deux:
I read that there was supposed to be a dramatic sequence of being in a "Death Star" Bay. Giant window, life size TIE Fighters, legions of stormtroopers, etc. The Walker's actually shoot at you as well. Anyone remember that, or I'm a typical new recruit?
An why would...
^^What he said...plus...they favor fair rides bolted in concrete as a new ride. That, and the "Exclusive Fight Time" that happens at Six Flags parks, one train operations, $16.00 corn dogs, and...well. You get the picture.
To be fair...a certain amount of anticipation affects my favorites. For example, El Toro's drop is great knowing I'm going to get ET ejector after the drop. Whereas the one trick ponies have just the drop. Does that make sense?

Twisted Timbers...Good god, why did I wait so long? El Toro airtime in a "punch you in the face" package. When we were driving to our hotel, I asked the kids if they thought it was better than Steel Vengeance. No hesitation..."yes".
InvadR...Great for little guys I imagine. I think I was too...
Setting all the ones we have to aside...Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane, first 3 Star Wars, etc.
The best movie ever is a tough one.
Beginning to end, the biggest jolt, in order, on the first viewing I ever got was:
Pulp Fiction
Saving Private Ryan
Schindler's List
Raiders of...
Interesting topic. 30 million bucks would buy one helluva lightning run 2.0. 20 million and it could be as long the beast, hauling coaster ##s through the woods...but without crushing your ribs.
I think the sideways air time "a la Fury" is better than the rmc wave turns for my taste. I'm just hoping that it doesn't get the KI treatment of "almost a great ride". Me and the kids joke about it being the "no fly zone" whenever KI comes up in conversation.
Millennium for me. Before that , the biggest coaster I'd been on was Desperado. And Desperado was a giant leap from the previous biggest coaster I'd been on. (Twister?) Millie was A LOT bigger and narrow to boot. The straight up lift hill didn't help either. But seeing I drove all the way out...
