That would stop most theme parks having 'warm' themed areas though if that was the case - European parks still have Wild West and African themed areas despite getting snow in winter (Eg Phantasialand).
Surely they could do artificial foliage and themed landscaping - but perhaps they don't have...
Blue Fire 6.5/10
Finally got round to visiting Europa Park and I have to say this coaster was a let down. It's just not that exciting for some reason. Average launch, lacked intensity, lots of similar inversions, only a few airtime moments. The trains are great and it looks the part but yeah I...
A quick trip report from a recent visit to Madrid's oldest theme park.
My genius idea was to walk to the park in time for opening at 12, however it took more than 1 hr 30 from the city centre, and is quite remote too being situated in a national park type surrounding - not the best of walks on...
That may seem promising initially, however bear in mind that's sales not profit.
So theoretically the actual figure they take away is far lower.
And how much to get the Ultimate fit again? Certainly millions.
I dunno... still not optimistic we'll see it return. Especially if kid-focus...
I think Velocicoaster pips this one just, but it looks very decent. The outer-banked airtime hill definitely appears to be like the highlight. I think personally the reverse spike seems a bit unnecessary though...
I recently visited NYC, and made a few trips to American Dream Mall. May do a little report, but for this thread:
ShellRaiser
Not a great ride personally.
I had the car to myself. Rode front row. As soon as it went down the first drop, it had an obvious shake/ rattle..
Launch was very...
They've just over-engineered this one tbh. This variant doesn't really add any thrill aspect except for travelling backwards briefly (at a sacrifice of riders per hour I imagine). They should have just modified the existing circuit layout IMO.
Hyperion is far inferior - the first three elements are amazing, but the rest is just speed corners and not much else. Plus on the outer seats it really judders.
Shambhala is a little less unique but is about as solid as a hyper can get. Plus the trains are much better with the inner/ outer layout.
Here's a quick one to provide some updates and personal thoughts about BPB.
I first visited 15 months back, so this is a bit of a revisit report with @Climb - two full days on park and new creds ridden.
New tickets
The ticketing system now relies on your mobile phone rather than old-school...
It's fine I guess. 5 mins isn't too bad a ride time and has some nice effects, just nothing exactly awe-inspiring . I'm happy Alton Towers has another decent dark ride (until the IP runs out and it gets removed) 😏
