Finally had my first ride this morning… 3rd attempt at visiting and finally got to ride it. Thoughts pending but first impressions are great! Also, if anyone’s on park feel free to say hey, my friend had to bail last minute so will be in the single rider queue all day.. haha
Also recommend to leave red force till later in the day. Everyone tends to flood Ferrari land as soon as it opens, then crowds drop significantly later in the day as it’s not a big enough park to retain the crowds that long!
Have an amazing time man. Port Aventura is such a nice park, apart from the queue jumping/bad operations. Looking forward to hearing what you think of Shambhala! :)
Little bit confused whether this is the right thread, as this seems to be covering both the Fantasiana Stryker, and the Prater Big Dipper? Anyway, doesn’t appear that this has been posted but Fantasiana have been teasing glimpses of a model of the coaster in a few of their videos recently. In...
I've not ridden either yet. Had two trips planned but didn't end up going both times due to Hyperia having issues, and didn't see the point in risking it when im having to make my way all the way down from Manchester. So decided i'll probably wait until September now as well. Sounds like a few...
I'm really impressed at the area so far. It almost feels to me like they've seen the success of Paultons and are following suit. While it's probably not enough for me to visit, as i'm not the target audience of course, it does look like a really quality addition, and something unique for the UK...
Yeahhhhh that looks like its flying. I hope thats the actual speed...
But agreed about the vegetation. It's also not the largest ride so it wouldn't be as difficult to flesh out with vegetation as something like Kondaa would be. Also, imagine diving round that low to the ground amongst loads...
Thanks! I have an annual pass so it didn’t cost me to book the ticket anyway. And luckily I’ve not booked a train or anything yet (Manchester to Thorpe is pretty expensive.. haha). I’ll leave the ticket hanging for now, and if it opens I’ll book a last minute train. If it isn’t open by the 5th...
I think they’ve been pretty open with the dates they are expecting Hyperia to be available from. As best they can be at the moment at least. While the nerd in me wants to know what’s up, I think it’s wise from Thorpe not to release anything further. Every time the big one at Blackpool breaks...
Agreed about this. I saw a travel influencer causing a fuss on Thorpe parks instagram the other day, basically saying they weren’t messaging her back. Obviously trying to get in on the hyperia opening/VIP day, and they just seemed so self entitled.
I get why Thorpe would invite them, but they...
I have two candidates that spring to mind.
Stunt fall at Parque Warner: I was sitting back row being pulled up the first spike backwards. As my weight is completely being held by the restraint, the restraint did a little jolt where it seemed to click forward. It was obviously locked and safe...
I kind of feel the same and i guess its down to personal preference.
For example i have Toutatis above Batman Gotham City escape purely for this reason (well, also cause of themeing too). I prefer the floaty stall on Toutatis and the rapid airtime hills on the launch. Batman GCE is amazing, but...
Thats a great trip right there! So very jealous! haha. Have a great time.
Can't wait to hear more reviews coming through. Honestly think i might end up with a fully Mack top 3 by the end of 2024 with Hyperia and Voltron battling for top spot against RTH!
Really intrigued to hear how that...
I finally rode reborn on Thursday. Had my first ride on the front row around 11am and was quite underwhelmed, but didn’t notice a rattle.
Had my second ride row 7 and noticed a really bad rattle/vibration specifically from the stall turn onwards. First half it wasn’t really noticeable. This...
The atmosphere there today looks great. Considering it crawled up that lift and over the crest, it seemed to take the first element relatively quickly. Can't wait to see it cycling now and speeding up throughout the rest of the layout.
I love the trains actually. It’s the hyperia story that doesn’t fit with everything else for me, rather than the other way around. Remove the story, or tell a modernised adapted version of it, rather than Greek goddess. The station box doesn’t exactly scream Greek goddess for me either.
I do...
^ While I think the name is a little bit dull, i guess it fits the demographic by seeming a bit less intimidating. However, just want to say how beautiful that concept/promo art is, wonder who Drayton used for it. The logo and visuals there all really come together to make something that looks...
My mind is still struggling to grasp the scale of falcons flight. It's almost so big it doesn't seem real to me. Also, that vekoma tilt is actually the thing I'm kind of most intrigued about. The double zero G looks insane.
Holy crap. I didn't expect the peak to be that tight for some reason, assumed it would start turning as it got steeper, even though i've seen the animation and it clearly didn't.
Back seat you're going to be ejected and then flung to the side very very suddenly!
