Having an 11 week old daughter and being originally from the area I'm sure I'll be seeing alot of this place fingers crossed they still build the woodie!
I take it there is only me that would actually prefer Knightmare to the intamin multi-looper? At least Knightmare is unique the intamin on the other hand is just another off the shelf ride for the off the shelf park.
I have a feeling it could be something completely new like a mack big dipper layout with spinning trains. Sort of in between their regular spinner and an xtreme model.
That is exactly the problem. Merlin think slapping something new in every few years means they can let the rest of the park go to ruin. It's so run down in places it's untrue.

Pretty sure the original markings said 100 kmph launch. So it's possible if the hardware wasn't changed. I believe the launch speed is already variable depending on wind speed and direction anyway

Deadly serious not many coasters are a as iconic 24 years after opening, people still genuinely run to the back of the park to ride it every day and the combination of the height and out of control feeling of the first drop make it unrivalled in the UK imo.
