I've been to every Six Flags branded park in the US (just missing the international parks and Frontier City, Great Escape). And Magic Mountain is basically my home park.
I actually sort of prefer SFGrAdv... mainly because of it's crazy theming, and huge variety of flat rides--which are...
I'm not 100% sure, but I was just as SFMM this past weekend, and I thought I saw them Magic Mover open. I could be wrong, though. I'll keep an eye out on it on future visits, but I hadn't heard anything.
It's not really smoother, but I did like it better in that it's a more unique layout that Harley Quinn--gotta give it that. It's not a great ride, but I don't hate it as much as I thought I would.
Even more so, Space Mountain at Disneyland, when they tore out the original track, and replaced it with a duplicate track. Or Hulk at IOA.
In this particular case for MonteZOOMa, I'd say it is a different credit, because it'll be such a different experience.
While I'm not an expert, I believe the California requirement is that any ride that has inversions must have a redundant device. A seat belt would also work... which is what they did for The New Revolution when they debuted those trains.
In my opinion, the reason why the parks prefer the...
I would agree... I've been on Railblazer, and that thing is really snappy. And as fun as it is to have a major ejection seat feeling, it could be borderline too much. Like, I don't think I'd marathon Railblazer, as fun as it is. And it can really hurt some people in the shoulder because of...
I rode it about 7 times today during the media event, from back to front and in-between. IMO, it's a fun, fast, solid, reridable coaster. Will it crack any enthusiast's Top 10 list? Unlikely... there's not really anything super distinguishable about it. Will it probably be a hit with the GP...
I get that the Flash/musik express is old... it's nearly as old as the park itself. And while I'm all for sentiment, it's understandable if it needs to be scrapped.
But the park is already very, very scarce on flat rides as it is... so if it does get scrapped or moved, they really need to make...
I felt the same way about the landscaping (feels like it's just sitting in a pile of dirt), but they still have over three weeks before it officially opens. I'm guessing the final phase will be to add it in.
I was there for the media day for Manta, and it simiarily had a lot of landscaping to...
I'm inclined to agree. If it was leaving, why wouldn't it torn down already? The only thing that's been torn down is the sign.
I do think it'd be great to see a ride return to the Pistashio Park area. There used to be a Bayern Kurve there for years, so it's already prepped for electrical...
Still find this plan hard to believe because of how close it gets to residential. Anything on that side of park is really close to homes. That south and southwest corner is pretty touchy, as it's where all the residential are--just look in the picture from posts #21 and #22 see how close they...
They're not a super high priority with me, but they do have some unique characteristics:
The location is usually pretty nice, as well as a sense of isolation
Not too many rides you can go on alone
Duration. A lot of them have an enormous lift hill, and a pretty long track.
Are they super...
I still long for what could've happened if Disneyland had gotten WestCot instead of DCA as a companion park. I will admit DCA, after very rocky start, is beginning to find its way... but I feel WestCot would've been much better right out of the gate.
On a similar note, could've been...
