The wooden bars supporting the rails broke due to a "fault", according to park bosses. When those wooden supporting bars broke causing the rails to sag, the front and possibly other parts of the train would likely have dug into the wooden slats resulting in the holes pictured.
Looks like she was filming the children in the front row with her phone, so likely their mother. Hopefully she wasn't badly injured and the incident wasn't too traumatic for the kids. Should be quite the POV, if she posts it online. 😜
A new fun house designed by Gosetto Srl will debut at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights on the Jersey Shore next year. The "Fun Factory" replaces the Surf Shack fun house, which has been removed. It's the pier's third fun house attraction after the original was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012...
I spoke with Joe Draves about this yesterday. He said that the extra track length leads into/in the station due to the longer trains, otherwise the layout is the same.
He also confirmed that the prototype issues were fixed with version 2 of the ride (Stunt Pilot, Sköll & Hati & this one), and...
Time for a thread resurrection. An interesting article (in German, but easily translated) on the issues German park managers face post-pandemic. Although it's focused on the new law restricting foreign hires, it includes figures and graphics on European park attendance and values. I.E. I wasn't...
Only now realized that after riding Bobcat at Six Flags Great Escape I've finally ridden every wooden coaster in North America (other than the kiddie coaster at Rye Playland, which adults can't ride). I kind of achieved the milestone in 2019, but Roller Coaster at Upper Clements Park in Nova...

Unfortunately, neither Scott nor I can make it. :(
But we have someone covering the event for us, so we'll be posting all the info about the new ???? coaster here and on our socials. :)
I should have posted sooner, but better late than never.
During and after filming the POVs, Scott and I took a half dozen rides throughout the day. The front-seat POV was filmed immediately after the first test runs on an empty train. We then jumped on for our on-ride and were surprised at how...
Since the source is an Aussie news station, it's safe to assume it's AUD. So indeed cheap, especially considering $40 million was spent on new rides and upgrades in recent years.
