Re: Kings Island | "Unknown" | "Unknown"
I don't believe B&M Inverts use rectangular supports. They use cylinder supports. The picture from the B&M plant show blue rectangular supports. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Spite is the word of the day. :/ I caught a short glimpse of two workers under the lift right outside of the station next to the cable lift system. This was at approximately 1:00 PM. They were gone by 3:30-4:00. They weren't in a a rush to fix the damn thing. That's for certain. Yesterday there...
****. I hope I get lucky. Even though I already have the cred, I was really looking forward to riding it again just so I can more accurately compare it to Skyrush and MF.
Based on your own experiences at amusement parks, what's the worst weather conditions you've experienced where they still allowed ride operations for all coasters? (e.g.: Extreme downpour, light drizzle, hail, tornado, ect.)
From what I know, it varies from park to park, but I'm just curious...
The main one that comes to mind is Busch Gardens Tampa on my way to Universal. I've also passed Lagoon on my way to Yellowstone. Thats about it though.
Re: Kings Island 2014 Roller Coaster
Tri-footers were used on Intimidator as well, along with those rectangle footers. I'm really starting to think this will be a Giga. That's just me though.
EDIT: I also cant find triangle footers being used on an invert anywhere. Anyone else seen them?
Re: Liseberg | "Project Helix" | Mack Megacoaster
From back on page 10, it looks like the trains will have green wheels; alloy, tread and all, to match the rides theming. This is quite rare for a coaster manufacturer to do this right?. You can see this was also done on Blue Fire here...
Re: Kings Island 2014 Roller Coaster
Look at Nitro's lift supports. They converge into one large footer too. This could mean that there's a possiblity of a B&M Giga using this same method of supporting on the lift. Maybe that's what that large triangle footer is for on the KI site. Just a guess.
Jerry vs. Connor
Sorry, I just had to post it. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I see you two on the same topic.
As for this topic, I've only ridden two:
1) SooperDooperLooper
2)...
Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
We can only hope, but I'm somewhat doubting they will ever increase the launch speed. My guess is that we would have to wait at least a year or two before they felt confident enough to bring the launch speed up.
^ From what I've read, people seem to believe it's right around 300 feet, give or take a foot or so. Therefore it could be 299 feet, but we won't know unless CW confirms the drop length.
