So what happens if you arrive at say 10am? If the passes are released every 30 mins anyway what benefit does the early arrival get you beyond a first ride? Aren't you still competing with an increasing amount of people for slots as the day goes on?
What if you're in a group, is one person in...
This seems like such a miserable way for a theme park to operate. I know Universal Osaka is similar having recently been, though nowhere near as bad as it's at least only Nintendo World that has this (plus you can either book in advance or generally get access later in the day unless it's...
Galactica and Rita are both very popular rides as well. Rita seems more likely to be replaced one day due to the outdated tech but Galactica being retracked wouldn't be a shock. There were already strong rumours of a re-theme for it.
I do share your concern with the lack of actual new...
I think it'll get the same reception as The Hex reopening, where enthusiasts will be genuinely excited for a few days before picking apart the flaws whilst the general public will be interested for a few weeks before it quickly fades into the same level of popularity as The Blade.
Not to say...
It has not and there has been zero information since the delay was announced. I was there last month and other than the plentiful Donkey Kong merchandise there was no indication.
My suspicion is either they're waiting till after the Halloween season or they're waiting to sync up with the US...
I've noticed with Merlin parks we typically see planning permission applications published several years ahead (eg the new rollercoaster at Chessington or Horizon at Alton Towers) which typically give at least some idea of what the attractions will be.
Paultons seem to have work underway (even...
That would be wild! Is there any indication of the budget they have?
I know saying "that's too many coasters" isn't in the spirit of being an enthusiast but i'd personally prefer one big world class coaster in a well themed area with supporting rides.
It's an anonymous forum. If you have some legitimate inside information that you can share then that's great. If sharing it would identify you or breach some rules of disclosure then don't but cryptic teases with no substance add nothing to a conversation.
It is but they said at the presentation they're looking to retain those families as they grow up so it's likely this will be the most thrilling rollercoaster in the park.
Still think Hot Racer is the least likely option of those proposed as i don't think many people, particularly families want...
As much as i love Paultons and think it's a brilliant park, i do think people are perhaps overestimating what they can or would achieve with a log flume. Whilst their theming is "nice" and well maintained, it's also very basic. A ride with a a proper narrative and animatronics would be a massive...
Is Valhalla not considered a log flume?
Considering Paultons just built a small log flume i'd be surprised if they'd add another so soon. The departing one didn't seem particularly popular whenever i visited.
That's what makes it a great park for me. You don't need to purchase fast track to have a good day. You don't need to go in with military preparation. You can just turn up and wander about at your leisure, knowing you'll get on all the rides (and they'll all likely be working too).
I don't know what the barometer is but pre Covid they were achieving over 1 million visitors a year and presumably it is now higher following the investments made. That makes them comparable to Drayton, Flamingo and even Chessington, especially as they're a park that is actively growing.
