I've treated myself to a Cineworld card, so I'm gonna go all Peep on your arses and review a bunch of films in one go. Only, unlike Peep, mine won't be a combination of Disney and intelligent, thought provoking cinema... it'll just be Disney and tosh involving Vince Vaughn et...
Re: Yomiuri Land announces custom S&S El Loco
"twist coaster robin"?! Haha, I <3 Japan!
I think we might be about to see a bunch of new coasters appear in Japan. There's been a couple of smaller additions over the last year or so, and it just feels like the stagnation may be coming to an end.
Re: Adventuredome, Las Vegas | El Loco | S&S El Loco
That looks pretty sexy! I love the colour scheme (even if it does just make us all think of The Smiler) and the modern logo. The trains look great, especially as they have fairly normal looking restraints as opposed to S&S' usual half-arsed...
Re: First US Thrill Rides Polarcoaster to be built near Atla
S&S Hopefully go without saying. I'm assuming Sansei are actually Sansei Yusoki. In which case they've built 23 creds (http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&co=6923). The ones I've been on were brilliantly weird. Combine that with S&S who also...
Finally just got round to watching MouseAT's video. Excellent job there, Andy. It had just the right mix of people footage and coaster footage. There was also a nice mix of the 4 days, and a good selection of some of the trips highlights. Definitely one of the more enjoyable one's I've watched...
Gavin, can you stop posting reports of foreign places we're never likely to visit, please. It's detracting from all the interesting and original Thorpe and Alton reports.
Day 9 - 15th September 2013
Another somewhat faffy day. We’d intended to do one of the bigger parks (Tobu Zoo, or Nasu Highland maybe? I can't actually remember) but the weather when we woke up was appalling. Therefore we took the decision to tick some more shops off the To Do list before...
Day 8 - 14th September 2013
This was a bit of a faffy day really. We got up and took the opportunity to do our laundry. Whilst waiting for it to finish, we headed out to find some lunch near the hotel. We ended up at Cafe Gusto - one of Japan’s big chains of “Family restaurants”. Not the most...
This got a mention (albeit, only in passing) on BBC breakfast the other day. There was a segment about the mental health treatment provided by the NHS and they interviewed some woman who had been given crap treatment. She was commenting on attitudes to mental illness, and used The Asylum as an...
Re: Two-Face to re-appear in Movieland Studios.
Fab! I need an excuse to go back there. So much copyright infringement <3
Any idea which part of the park this is heading for?
Wait, I've only just realised that you're not talking about the new-ish home-made spinny thing at Adventure Island. That's not what you're talking about, is it?
Could they get away with a tacky "other kids TV themed theme park lands are available" disclaimer on adverts the same way as they do when they plug the Radio Times? </half-joking>
How many people have been killed by being too fat for a ride? How many people have got pissed off by poor throughput? Yeah, I think that's a fair trade-off. Plus, how many enthusiasts have ever been killed through theme park based stupidity? (Yet we all know we all partake in it!) Yet we'll be...
