Some good films on the way! Dreamworks might be debatable, but hey!
It's not that hard to get to by public transport, too. You can get a train to within 3 miles, and take a taxi from there. Train from bristol is about 3.5 hours and costs about £19 (open return is £23) on my rail card (add 33% for non-railcard fares).
The most awkward thing is sleeping, but...
I think they were hit with the tripple whammy of Hydro death, the investigation and then getting bought by Aspro. Each of them delayed the building/renovation of new/existing rides.
With the growing popularity of Bluestone right next door though, and the (supposed) rumours of two new kiddie...
You mean that pretty good serious actor? Who's been nominated for quite a few Screen Actor Guild Awards?
I don't have high expectations for the film, but this bit about him being miscast is rubbish. He's a very good actor, who does serious well, and I have full confidence that he'll do a good...
I'm sure there'd be a direct link (ie, trains skipping all the stations) to Alton from Stoke, considering the popularity that line would have. Getting from Stoke to Alton wouldn't take longer than 15-25 minutes, at that distance, and given that most of the stops would be request only, if...
Click for the source - it's what they're proposing to redo, specifically the red line. Just checking google maps for the line itself, it's well overgrown.
Edit: http://disused-rlys.fotopic.net/c1128459.html aww, Alton has an adorable station, located actually just underneath the Towers...
I really enjoyed the 3D! This was the first film where the 3D just seemed right - I honestly can't imagine it any other way now. I really helped at certain points, and it's really excited me for what I'll see on friday in Up.
No 3D headache too! It was glorious!
It's been high up on my list for a loo-oong time, though s'not got a release date over here yet, if at all.
When I'm more conscious, I'll post a (fuller) review for District 9. In short: I really liked it.
Will said it far better than I ever could. Thanks to one and all for being really kind and welcoming to both me and Mattie, we've both had a truly splendid weekend and this certainly won't be the last time you'll see us :P
Now I need to somehow pester Oakwood into getting a Flip Flop clone :D
I'll have you know that was all down to Mattie and me, my mum was still in Pembrokeshire! She had no idea I was there at all.
I'm sure I'll write up something, but it'll just be a long thankies to all who made the weekend something really truly splendid.
I know I've never really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like, and frankly have never want to even go want to do look more like ever again.
Car stickers and stickers we can put on rides we like.
I keep seeing them on the Megafobia op panel and keep thinking we need them, and because I love stickers.
Well, I think cost is factoring into some of this - according to the bloke, they have to rebuild the Ultimate's trains every year because it beats them up so much. Whether or not extending the corners will actually make it smoother is another thing, that was just me extrapolating from the point...
Well, the extention to t'Ultimate has been confirmed - they're making it the longest again by extending the corners, thus making it less intense, thus making it go faster and not beat itself up (and you) so much.
Also confirmed: Hornet's nest is going to be replaced by a flat, and Sewer Rat's...
