"Pigs Might Fly" - Paultons Park, 21st May 2022

Many people come on their own, so you won’t be the only one. I know it can be daunting making that first step, but I’m very sure everybody will be welcoming and you’ll make several new friends by the end of the day. Just remember there’s no pressure to stay with the group or to ride anything you...

"Pigs Might Fly" - Paultons Park, 21st May 2022

I’m unable to do any lifts because I’ll be cycling there and back. I no longer own a car. Or if it’s crap weather, I’ll be buttering somebody up to pick me up/drop me off (I live 8mins drive away) in return for a burger. @Nicky Borrill We’ll easily get all the creds. I managed them all, except...

"Pigs Might Fly" - Paultons Park, 21st May 2022

This little piggy went to Alton. This little piggy then went home. This little piggy rode the new cred. This little piggy got a plus 1. And this little piggy went wee-weeee-weeeee and invited you to Paultons! The Live name is a bit rubbish (as was my take on the nursery rhyme). I was thinking...

Fraispertuis City | Projet Storky | Custom RMC Raptor | 2024?

April Fools is bollocks. I would lock this as requested, but I want to give people the chance to express their disappointment.

Paultons Park | Farmyard Flyer | Custom Zierer Force | 2022

Managed to get on the ride today. It's quite good fun, nice little whip around the helix and the theme is cute and well executed (particularly liked the 'easter eggs' in the photo booth exit - photos of the park owners and some staff as olden time American fighter pilots). I'm pretty sure the...

ROFL. I have no other comment.

    Overused Viewpoints

Can anybody remember the Kodak spots that were dotted around the (what are now) Merlin parks? I swear my mum has multiple photos of me at Thorpe and Chessington taken in the same spot taken every year in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Taking a photo of the same thing isn’t a new trend. It’s just...

    Fantasmagorical Faff - Trip Reports

How many times was the first CF rapids boat to leave the station overtaken?

    Fantasmagorical Faff - Trip Reports

Hahah, I usually sit the rapids out but I was so intrigued… When I go back, I’ll have a better understanding of the vegetation and upkeep of some ride features!

    Fantasmagorical Faff - Trip Reports

Thanks for yesterday! Was great to be back, catch up with old mates and get to know some new ones. The Live may not have had the quirky fun that Serena typically brings, but I hope my “mates mooching at a park” approach was good enough. Nemesis was my standout ride of the day. It quite jerky...

"Fantasmagorical Faff" - Alton Towers, 20th March 2022

Weather is currently looking favourable for Sunday! Is anybody a needing any new-to-them creds on Sunday? I’ll play it by ear but always good to know if something needs to be targeted.

"Fantasmagorical Faff" - Alton Towers, 20th March 2022

Hahaha, I’ll chat to Chris Brown who I’m travelling with and message you on Messenger. But an hour south of Alton is tempting.

"Fantasmagorical Faff" - Alton Towers, 20th March 2022

^ Happy to meet at services along the M6 for an expensive Burger King?! Being a Sunday and 3 1/2 hour drive home, I’m keen to press on home after the park. But having dinner in Leicester on Saturday…?

"Fantasmagorical Faff" - Alton Towers, 20th March 2022

My first visit in years. Wonder if it feel fresh or has changed much. Very much looking forward to it!

    Clothing style

Plain, functional and comfortable are the three things I look for. I like to be presentable. I will never wear trackie bottoms out of the house, not even to pop to my local Tesco Express to buy their cheapest bottle of wine with the highest ABV and a packet of cheese balls.

What is your mentality towards riding kiddie coasters?

Over the past five of six years, I’ve gone from A to C. When my coaster count used to matter to me, I’d travel the end of the country to grab a Caterpillar +1. The more I I travelled or visited bigger parks and experienced quality creds, the less concerned I became about my count. Nowadays it’s...

    Blog start Advice?

CF uses WordPress which I find ok. Does everything I want it to and it’s easy enough to use. Would rather it be “write this, make this bit bigger, drop a photo here”, without inevitable foraging errors that these things have, but it’s not too fiddly.

Are you a "hands in the air" person or a "holding on tight" person when riding?

I’m a hands in lap person (“riding politely”), but I often stretch my arms up in anticipation of airtime hills/moments. Guess I feel that reaching upwards will make me more aerodynamic or something, or pull my gut in to get my arse an extra millimetre off the seat.

"Fantasmagorical Faff" - Alton Towers, 20th March 2022

Checked https://one.network/ (a website that shows all current and planned road works) and nothing for the B road. So the AT web page is outdated. And it still uses the term “thin” to describe the width of the carriageway. It’s not boding well, might end up going to guest services at this rate...
