Day 8 – Burj Khalifa & Motiongate
Even though Day 8 would be our last day, we still had a completely full day ahead of us as we technically weren’t flying out until the wee hours of the next morning. After the debacle that was our first visit to Motiongate, we were able to receive return...
Valleyfair is a really solid regional park that I enjoy quite a bit. The entire park seems to be well maintained and taken care of. It's actually probably one of the nicest Cedar Fair parks. I do find the park's layout to be fairly disjointed though. It's strange to me how you walk alongside...
Not really small news, but not sure if it warrants its own thread. It was just announced that Warner Brothers World Abu Dhabi is going to expand with a new Harry Potter area. This will undoubtedly be incredible.

Universal has had a longstanding relationship with Mack though. They have more Mack coaster products across all of their parks than Intamin. Universal also has a number of non-coaster rides from Mack throughout their parks. So, it's safe to say that Universal is just as comfortable with...
As sick as it would be for this to be a spinner, the plans submitted to the borough council clearly show a standard train in the station drawings and maintenance drawings. If it were to have spinning cars, then the clearance envelopes and dimensions would need to be different and the queue gate...
Replace the steel supports with a wood structure. Paint the track red. Give each train a human name after a person that previously inhabited the land and has returned to take it back from Nemesis.
"Wood Vengeance"
Sorry to double post, but MVR announced yesterday that they've bought the patents for the rides made by Bill Kitchen/US Thrill Rides including SkyBlazer and the Unicoaster. It's an interesting move as MVR has always been known as more of a builder of other companies' products. This acquisition...
For clarity, this layout isn't new for Zamperla. They actually unveiled it in June 2021. What is new is the 2x2 train design, which I think looks quite good. A lot of Intamin influence it seems.
Also, for what it's worth, S&S is in this market as well.
Personally, I doubt it. I don't think of TTD as a "legacy" attraction nor do I think of a park being described as an "industry legend." When I hear industry legend, I think of a person or a manufacturer.
Honestly, this make me think they have started a partnership with a company like Eli...
Definitely sounds like a park engineer 😆. Obviously, this isn't your comment, but I just want to say that this isn't really true.
First, this type of thing happens a lot, whether it's RMC transforming a coaster into a hybrid or a park getting new trains for a coaster. There are a lot of ways...
While I agree that the aesthetic of the integrated stall is fantastic, I'm honestly sort of glad that they couldn't do it in this case. As cool as it is, I don't want it to become overdone to the point of no longer being special.
I really hope that this involves a complete overhaul of the theming. It was a neat concept when it first came out, but the entire attraction no longer meets the standard of quality that the park has developed throughout the last 12 years.
Day 7 - FECs... All over the country
Let me start by saying I'm not that big of a goon. I'm a full-fledged nerd, but not so much a goon. Apart from when I'm close to a major milestone, I've been known to pass by many a kiddie coasters with not a care in the world. In fact, I've often taken...
Hershey’s official teaser video features spliced images of the park’s original Wildcat in addition to POV of GCI Wildcat which makes me think it’s still going to incorporate “Wildcat” somehow.
Their recent names have included Candymonium and Jolly Rancher Remix, so you definitely don't need to aim too high.
I can totally see it being something awesomely ridiculous like Steel KitKat.
