I don’t think a hotel’s construction would need it’s own thread, I think it fits in here. Once they start to built a new coaster, that’ll deserve it’s own thread.
I feel like it’s a “bonus” cred to be honest, it wasn’t in any of the original planning permissions. Originally it was a theatre building, so yeah I’ll happily take the extra cred, even if it’s not the most exciting.
I mean honestly they have already paid to build a second tower which is as tall as the first, that can’t exactly have been cheap. The coaster now has the current 2nd and 3rd tallest element on any coaster in the world, and that’s not even built using oil money.
Very slick looking.
I do wonder why the decision was made to have the seat panels in sections however. Those gaps remind me of the old Togo trains that Viper at SFGAdv used to have. I hope they won’t be uncomfortable in the same way. Most modern premium manufacturer’s seats are fully moulded...
Well that’s a wild reach.
Do you think it’ll be taken very slowly then or something? Why would it give a longer moment of airtime compared to another hill of similar height?
Also, have you seen the 500ft high airtime hill that’s being built on falcons flight?
It’ll be an extreme moment of...
I’m curious if they can do anything with that island they built.
They have all this unused land sitting there, does anybody know any reason they haven’t developed over in that direction?
I have never been excited for Wicker Man, I believe I voiced similar concerns for it back then.
While I don’t mind B&M hypers, I think your hatred of them seems a bit extreme. What you’ll actually see is that I was comparing the layout with the other Mack Hypers that have built. I love the...
It took 12 years for Thorpe to invest in this coaster. I’m not gunna hold my breath for another hyper in the UK ever, let alone in the next two decades.
You realise in one fell swoop you basically also called every other coaster in the UK bad, right? You’re so close to getting the point we’re...
That’s the whole point of a lot of people’s grievances with this ride though. This was probably the UK’s only chance at a big substantial coaster. After 2 decades the UK is getting it’s second hypercoaster, rides that are known for substantial layouts, many airtime hills etc. But we basically...
Mack trains have had the ability to have onboard audio since inception so it’d go a long way to boost the ride.
Ride To Happiness is further improved by it’s onboard audio and even the thrumming end of the soundtrack on the brakerun adds hugely to the ride atmosphere. Would love to see it here.
