Yeah I imagine it'll run at a similar pace to Toutatis/Patheon's first inversions tbf, which still means hang time!
Sorry if this has already been mentioned/asked a hundred times... Is the only opening info we have that it'll open in "summer"? Planning to visit in mid/late May :/
Exciting times! Hopefully whatever they're planning is ready for the start of the season as I'll be there on the 3rd and 4th of April. I'll be happy with simply more rock work tbh as I didn't like how you could see the back of the Berlin buildings from there.
A user by the name of GeorgeT on the coasterfriends.de forum has posted photos of the dive loop which has now been mostly completed. I imagine the top hat can be topped off once it's in fully.

Work on the details for the hydroelectric plant facade has begun.

The exit of the top hat is in, as well as supports for the entry, as the dive loop before the turntable.

And from an Instagram reel...
Looks fantastic, quite a way to go though it seems. I'm planning to visit in early June although I'm concerned as the website just says "spring 2023"...
Some images taken by user Tobsk@coaster on the Coasterfriends.de forum showing what I believe is the twisted hill before the dive loop, and the airtime hill after the top hat.
Haven't been on either although I think they're so different that it's a tough one to even compare. Everest's theming seems so much more detailed and thorough, at least from what I've seen, but the actual coaster of Hagrid's looks much better. I feel the latter needs it's trees to grow in fully...
Is it me or are there a lot of dead spots? Pacing seemed a bit off but might just be the POV. Either way, looks a bit meh but glad it's finally (sort of) open.
Based on what we have so far, I'm wondering if we'll see a (basic) Himalayan/mountain theme, with the plaza area being some "base camp" of sorts? Picturing the TV ad now... prayer flags blowing in the wind, the coaster's peak looming in the clouds behind it... I could vibe with that tbh.

Apologies for bumping the F.L.Y thread, just have a quick question but doesn't warrant a new thread.
Does anyone know when tickets for the 2023 season go on sale? Looking to visit on the 3rd/4th of April but it's not possible to book yet, quite eager to get on F.L.Y...
Indeed, although you're forgetting that you, Matt N, are much more intelligent than 90% of those with a Youtube account and an Internet connection.
A lot of "breaking into..." and "we spent 24 hours in..." videos are fake, however some are genuine. It seems the desire for clout supersedes...
I mean, you're right, it's been around for a while. Although I doubt your nan was riding huge, loud dive coasters there in the 30s. Very different place.
I honestly think that if the building can be seen from a distance in the surrounding area, and it's unsightly, it's fair the locals wouldn't...
