We’re all thinking it but I really hope this is a return of Phantom Theater. Taking it out for Scooby-Doo made sense at the time, however, leaving it gone from the park for a cheap generic black light ride with broken blasters and effects doesn’t. And if they badly need people through the gates, this is a good family attraction that’s going to shake the ground locally and get people and their kids to the park.
If it is a retheme of any kind, however, I wouldn’t expect them to go full Efteling with the new dark ride. With their financial situation the way it is, I doubt they have the budget for all the bells and whistles. Would be nice to see it have a place to switch a car off added, though, as I recently learned this ride can be hell to board with a wheelchair. Hell, even a wheelchair car where you just roll it on, lock it down, and go would be better than what they have currently.
And with this being so last minute, I can’t help but wonder if this is a plan B to whatever “family thrill attraction” is likely delayed/cancelled from the initial plans.
