New ride/roller coaster coming to Särkänniemi amusement park? 2025? 2026?

A new sign has appeared near Särkänniemi's Trombi -Zamperla volare after it was removed from the parks map and put up for sale. The park later commented saying trombi will not be coming back. The sign says:

Roughly translated to english: "Something new is being built here. Trombi has been closed to make space for new. We are building Särkänniemi's biggest ride investment of this decade on this site. More info coming soon"

If you know Särkänniemi, you know the space is reall small, but fingers crossed for something decent.

I totally see an S&S Free Spin for this park. If they relocate the Disk-O-Coaster, they could put it on the small piece of land in the lake and have a ride with the lake on both sides. Sorry for being so random but this thought has been stuck in my head since forever.

So, what can be a rollercoaster under 30m tall that will fit in this small space?

My ideas:
1.Vekoma family boomerang (could be designed to fit around already existing buildings)
2.Gerstaluer bobsled 610 (small and is classic ish like the ceo sometimes said)
3.maybe some spinning coaster (30m seems quite tall)

Or maybe they are putting the halfpipe back… It is no where to be found on sale and it is just 30m

Oh wow, that was quick! Very much looking forward to the eventual replacement; when I was standing beside it last month, I was already envisioning some kind of Hot Racer or Raptor there 🤣 that's some good real estate right beside the water there!

I must have been at the park at the same time as the poster there - my photo from the observation tower has the digger in exactly the same position.

Can confirm the drfit thing was operating, but I was quite hungover and the thought of it made me feel sick, so I skipped it. :D

They're also building a fancy new bridge across the water on the car park side of the site. Should give quite a nice view of the park when it's finished, but at the moment it's just halving the car parking and removing the famous view of Tornado through the tunnel.

Current look at the site;

I am not really sure 100%, but they wanted to construct a bridge between the park and the other side of the water. It can be on this location or from the parkinglot near the entrance.

The new bridge is connecting to the flat plot of asphalt next to Tornado on the far right of the original image:

I didn’t photograph the bridge itself but the entrance is at the bottom of this photo I took:

From sources (1, 2) we now know that the new coaster will not only take Trombi's (the Volare) old plot, but will go over the pathway that goes to Tyrsky (the Disk'o) and an older burger restaurant will be demolished as well as the Take Off ride will be relocated next to Motogee. Shocking, honestly that in 2025 a classic HUSS ride like that is simply relocated, not removed, but I'm glad, even if it runs a somewhat mild ride program.

So by that description the ride should have an area like so to work with (quick mockup)

särkänmockup.jpg

The stats for the ride revealed so far are:
- Minimum rider height 100cm
- 70km/h (43mph) top speed
- 30m (98ft) max height
- 20 person train capacity
- project price of 10 million €
- unique layout (duh, given the location and plot shape)

(Translation by me) "This combines the thrill of a fast amusement ride and a unique location. A family friendly roller coaster at this height, this close to the lake vista hasn't been seen in Finland before." - Development diretor Ville Aaresuo

They emphasize the views from the ride a lot in the articles, which makes sense, as the coaster is gonna hug the lake. Which, finally! It's weird to me given the location how many rides in Särkänniemi rather block the views instead. This will be the first custom coaster in the park since Tornado and only the third custom coaster in the history of the park (Pirun Kelkka, Hype, MotoGee, Jet Star, Korkkiruuvi, Trombi being all clones), as well as the largest single investment since Tornado.

It was also said that the train is configured in the form of 2 riders per carriage and that times 10 forms a train

I'm gonna rage if it turns out to be something good. I'll be at the park next week and doubt I'll ever make the effort to return.

I know it seems like it'll be a family thrill coaster, but that'd still probably be like, the second best cred in the park (at least).

Assuming all of the information is correct that doesn't leave a lot of options does it? A Gerstlauer Family Coaster could fit the description but this seems a little fast/tall for that model. On the other hand i couldn't come up with any other known model that would fit all of the listed specifications...
