We will be holding a CF Live meet up at Alton Towers in May for a day of laughs, thrills and the World's First Suspended Top Spin To Be Built Atop A Raised Platform!

If you've never been to a CF Live meet up before, it's pretty simple: a bunch of coaster nerds meet up at a park and spend the day riding the rides and taking part in coaster quizzes / coaster related games. It's all about sharing this weird and wonderful hobby together, everyone is welcome! All you have to do is turn up with your own park entry ticket!

Meet up date Sunday 11th May

Meet up time 9.30AM

Meet up location: Beneath the Corkscrew outside the entrance

For anyone who doesn't have a ticket, the event date of may 11 IS included in the lowest tier of the Merlin annual pass (discovery) currently on sale priced at £79. If you're planning on visiting Thorpe park or Chessington on a non peak day this year, it's probably a good investment.
 
Can I go down as a maybe? I really, really want to support lives, but Sundays are always hard... It does get quieter for roasts on Sundays, as the weather warms up, and nobody wants a roast dinner, so fingers crossed this warm weather continues improving...*

For my coaster hobby, not so much our roast sales, 🤣 (To clarify, the pub gets busier overall in warm weather, but it's all in the garden, with less table service, so less staff required and more chance of me skiving.)
 
Another thing: I'm currently planning to make a weekend out of this, so I'm going to do a solo day at the park on the Saturday and then do Sunday with all of you guys. If anyone else is going to be there on the Saturday as well, feel free to get in touch!

I think there'll be a few of us there on Saturday. :) (I'm planning to do Saturday regardless of whether I make Sunday or not, I already have it booked.)

I'll be there a lot around that time, those 3 weeks are usually prime time for getting walk on rides on everything (Although that's in the week, not at the weekend... I imagine it'll still be a little quieter at the weekend than normal... won't it?)

Monday 12th 'should' be a very good day for rerides, if anybody can get it off. This is the time of year we were getting everything done, with multiple rerides, by 2pm last year!!!
