What's new

Drayton Manor | Gold Rush | Intamin Family Coaster | 2024

Feels like an accidental leak to me. The timing and with no build up to it screams it perhaps wasn't meant to be released yet, even if it has been released through multiple official platforms...

Still, good name, good little advert for it as well.
We were just saying the same thing. Hopefully this will prompt them to release more information shortly.

They'll absolutely want this open before the summer holidays, and they aren't far away.

I was starting to think they'd forgotten about it!!

The 'records' are tenous but still make more sense than 'most weightless'.

The competition to attend one of those dreadful media days has a closing date of 11 July; make of that what you will.

Not been to Drayton in ages and I've always thought this looks a very interesting little development.

Unfortunately, yes that's definitely AI art at this point, they need to stop with that, though when they said they didn't use it they did specify on any signage.

Shameful that one of the channels leaked it at midnight when the park themselves were supposed to announce it at 10. They should find themselves cut off from every park press list by the end of the day I am sure.

Edit: Apparently the press embargo was for 12.01am, so if the news wasn't supposed to go before 10, the park messed up.

They probably don't really have a marketing department. At least, I don't hope so. I am the creative guy for my company's marketing department and if I would come up with this AI crap, my company would probably not be happy with me 😅

But more importantly: I hope the ride is going to be a success for the park. I am curious to seeing some POV's.

Great to see Drayton supporting the Polydacyly population. 😂
Intrigued to see how this rides once it's open. As a parent it's great to see family coaster with a lower height restriction that aren't just a wacky worm. Love how much they've invested into the park over the past few years and it's looking the best it has in a long time.
