    New rides @ small parks

Following Tom's post and my (admittedly rather alcohol addled) response, RCDB reports not 1 but 2 very small new arrivals at the delightful New Brighton Funfair. A Guven oval coaster and a Wacky Worm with a rather odd shark theme, which I can't decide if I like or I'm mildly disturbed by...

What's The Song You're Listening To Right Now?

Update... Joy. Tie a 🤬ing yellow ribbon round the 🤬ing old oak tree will now be in my head for the rest of the day.

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

^ To be honest, I wonder how much some of it is just paying lip service in order to get 'Covid secure' status. On a more intense ride as well, particularly if I've 'vocalized' during the ride, I'll get to the brake run and find it's anywhere but where it should be. Ironically, they're probably...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Future Predictions

I know there was a rumour about a launched coaster that went 'out to sea' around in 2004 - if I remember rightly, the idea was canned for reasons of finance and practicality, but in retrospect, that may have been total crap as well?

Nitefly has a bad battered sausage at Chessington (and more!)

^ No - they weren't allowing cars to run with only one passenger in despite the restrictions. I swear that's not a Maurer thing (in fact, it certainly wasn't a problem at Fantasy Island) so I'll admit I went to guest services and had a bit of a tantrum last year. I don't think the obnoxious...

    Wicker Man vs Megafobia

Like a lot of people, I don't think I've been to Oakwood in the last 5+ years, so I'm not sure I could make a fair comparison, though if I could ride one tomorrow, I'd pick Megafobia out of curiosity. Perhaps to state the obvious though, age can be unkind to wooden coasters - Big Dipper was...

Hall Of Shame - Types Of Rides That Deserve To Be Inducted

Never ridden one (which is probably no bad thing) but I feel the infamous Intamin Space Diver is worthy of a mention. I feel like most coaster types S&S were involved with in the old days deserve a shout as well, but most notably the dreaded Screaming Squirrel.

Walibi Belgium | Kondaa | Intamin Mega Coaster | 2021

It still amazes me every time I open this thread that that quality of theming is at a Walibi park. Holland is nobody's favourite and I remember Belgium's being a bit of a non-event 7 years ago. Unfortunately, every time I open this thread or Monster's, I get annoyed about international travel...

Theme park soundtracks that get stuck in your head

...and another post, to be annoying, because I remembered the classic horror nights music from Europa Park, since Europa, 'dramatic metal' and Halloween events are a fairly ideal combination for me! Sadly, they're quite hard to track down online these days and the music played at horror nights...

Theme park soundtracks that get stuck in your head

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned DVH, which popped straight into my head when I read the topic title! Honourable mentions to the one and only Colossus as well as this masterpiece... [youtube] My old boss at work was a former Towers employee from way back when and we used to...
