It's nothing new, sadly.
The Thompsons are pretty efficient at bulldozing woodies. More efficient, in fact, than they are at replacing them.
I call it The Thompson Chainsaw Massacre.
Yeah, this was exactly my first thought when I saw the POV.
The ride looks to have come together well, from what I've seen. But this is the main change I'm not particularly fond of. I really loved that design aspect of Nemesis, how you start the ride going into the trees and seclusion, then...
That red water could easily be colour correction in post editing.
I'd bloody (no pun intended) love the return of the blood waterfalls. Just don't want anybody to potentially be disappointed! What's that song by TLC again? Don't go chasing (blood) waterfalls
Weird to think that Thorpe is the first park in the UK to have 2 coasters over 200ft and the second in Europe. I suppose Red Force/Shambhala, but technically separate parks.
Taron... it simply cannot be judged on a day ride alone. I suppose you could go for a technical loophole and make your first ride(s) the night rides, but then there's still a lot to appreciate about it, and Klugheim, in the day (preferably a nice autumn day).
RMC it.
It's not historic or interesting enough to preserve in it's current form.
Another very local RMC for us Brits, and it would still only be the 4th here in Europe. I'd take that all day long.
Tough question really - I think by definition, we tend to know why we love certain rides... even if the reasons aren't clear cut to other people.
For example, we might like a really terrible ride for nostalgic purposes. Or perhaps we prefer a universally ridiculed ride over a world class ride...
I know we're a bit off topic here (this really belong in the WTF or Yay Merlin threads) but it's all a domino effect. It's not just the early closes with AT. It's an arse to get to for a lot of us, then on top of that, ride availability is fairly tragic. So, it makes the 4pm close a lot more...
