I looked at some parts in the storage yard. They could go together this way, but just a thought.
There are quite a few mysterious parts. Massive columns that look to be differing lengths...
If this is close then the spike drop will just be clearing the station roof.. at 80mph+ dropping very...
So I guess the options are thinning if we go by what has been painted.. At least on the return side.. Seems like a wast to just get 1 new element. Will have to watch..
Imagination.. Yes maybe that's a good thing. Would not need to be inside of Iron Dragon any more than is already done.
Many are saying they are done with footers, etc. but there is still much construction activity going on. If they were to put an air time hill on the return, I don't think...
I guess that I disagree with you here. I will be disappointed if the "reimagination" is to only add a 300ft reverse spike and EM launch and EM braking system. I mean why spend a several million on the Triangle tower (expected) for just adding this element. Since it's not a "Dragster"...
So here are a couple things and another concept image.
From a safety and capacity look.
Say that the redo has some kind of a spike in conjunction with the first top hat section.
Zone 1: A switching track would be required, or a method to transfer the train to the Spike, accelerator, Top hat...
I think you should look at the reasons for the down time. True at the start it was the hydraulic launch system. That got sorted out. The down mostly came from sensors on the brake section(s) flags of the track. A switch track swing spike launch will not fix that issue.
Interesting, why would they be backward to expected force direction, with a spike? Check the centerline alignment.
I just have a difficult time with the time to cycle (riders per hour) that a spike would add. Just can't see that. Also the footerspacing is less than current tophat by about...
