Pakistan PTR - Part 2: Karachi Parks

Thank you for taking the time to share this, look forward to reading more. You’re right, as a destination I have genuinely read NOTHING about, I am very interested and will be watching out for updates :)

This coaster looks really good, cannot wait to get out there... On the track style, I think prefer the look of it to the Taron track, although I am not fully decided, as they both look great... One concern though, is this the same track as Hyperion? And how much of Hyperion's vibration, under...

    Airlines

I’m gonna be careful with what I say about Easyjet, as we have Easyjet cabin crew here on the forum, who I believe will tell you that they are a much better company to work for than Ryanair... To be fair not had an issue with them, but as a budget airline, they’re not that cheap, and you don’t...

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

Yes I’m aware... And I am 99% certain that by July we’ll at least be able to travel inside Europe... But I was just suggesting that maybe there was more to the original thinking than just the epidemiology advice from SAGE ;)

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

I am not in any way confident we’ll see rides open before July, just a feeling that we ‘may’ do. Off track a little bit, Boris is a massive advocate of staycations this summer. Would love to see some data on how much brits spend abroad vs how much tourism earns the UK... Because I’m almost...

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

They’re mostly fast tracking outdoor activities, reading the SAGE minute confirms this. It’s a good strategy, but only if people don’t all congregate in the same places, i.e beaches and public parks, as distancing is impossible then. I would say that opening up MORE outdoor spaces could actually...

I’ve got a feeling we may see rides open before July 4th

Merlin passes and membership... membership fees frozen until October prepaid passes will have the extra months added onto expiry date. :)

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

Passholders extensions have been increased to cover July and August... Because they will be required to pay £1 booking fee when attractions reopen... This is incredible generosity on the part of Merlin, effectively giving passholders 2 months free use of their passes (ok so it’s £1 a visit, not...

Not a rumour, true... Got the email... As is Warwick Castle :)

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

Presumably they got their evidence... Minutes only go up to the 7th May... Advice for face covering came out on the 11th May. (Edited to add: It states in the government press release from that day, 11th May, that it was due to new evidence from SAGE... Will be interesting if and when the...

    Airlines

I’m quite lucky there, especially for Ryanair, I live 20 - 30 mins from East Midlands, less than an hour from Birmingham, and within a 2 hour drive of Manchester, Luton, Stanstead and others. So no UK overnight stays necessary, although I have stayed overnight near Stanstead before, particularly...

Halving them... I only usually pay between £10 and £20 as it is!!! I’ve had a return flight to Cologne for £9.80 before!!!! How are they going to half them??? Obviously I’m guessing they’re halving standard prices, not seats sold during their regular ‘seat sales’ which is when I do my booking. :)

Coronavirus: Economic impact on theme parks in 2020.

Not controversial, you are right in a sense... But I would add to that statement and sayso long as face masks are a necessity then parks should probably stay closed. Unless they take steps to enforce the measures with ejections etc. Otherwise people aren’t going to wear them. I think that in...

    Airlines

My favourite airline is actually Ryanair, because they have enabled me to travel all over Europe multiple times a year, for the price of visiting UK parks. You know what you get, nothing glam, but they’ve actually been 100% reliable for me, in all the times I’ve used them, no delays...
