Pleasant and entertaining? Yes, I like that. But if it's at the expense of holding up the ride? No.
A recent good example that comes to mind is the older guy on I305. I'm sure there are people who don't share my opinion of him, but I thought he was entertaining. Telling everyone about the ride...
A really tall first drop over any launch. But a launch over a short drop. I like the scariness factor for my adrenaline rushes. :D I'll admit to screaming, but launches don't scare me the same way tall drops do.
Don't get me wrong I love a good launch, but I find going down a big drop and...
Re: #Penn2015://Day 3~ Ayllentahn Woata; Float with the Phoe
That cracked me up. Definitely something I have never experienced.
Dorney's parking lot though. I never quite understood it. Besides the people walking, Did you have to dodge the dozens of picnics out in the parking lot when you...
Re: #Penn2015://Day 2~ Sweet, Sweet Aggression
The charm of Great Bear for me has always been the layout. They just plopped it down in the middle of everything. Though I do get beaten up every time I ride Wildcat.
I am jealous of that maintenance tour.
I'd would have never gotten to most of the parks I visited if I wouldn't go alone.
I know one person that actually likes to ride coasters. She's got her own life and family and isn't able to take a few days to travel just to go to a park or two. I've been sent to training classes for work in...
Before I found sites like this, the definition of enthusiast to me was that person that shows up at parks decked out, head-to-toe, in coaster gear. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean someone who goes to a park in a ride or park t-shirt and/or a hat. I'm talking about someone you would look at and...
Re: USA East Coast TRs (Part 2: Kings Dominion)
Thanks for posting this. Even though you had a bit of a chilly day, it looks like you had a nice time. I don't know if I can say that about the two people in the lower right of your Dominator ORP.
I do have to say that I'm not going to be able...
I am glad to hear that. I have never really talked to people that are as in to roller coasters as I am. So I'm going by them. A lot of people I know love those steel ones. Honestly, I think I'd try the wooden one if I ever come across one. I'll try anything (within reason) once. It's...
I guess I should be embarrassed by this but, any Wild Mouse. They scare the crud out of me. I laugh when people say they are afraid to ride any coaster with inversions because they are scared it will fall off the track. But that is exactly the thing that freaks me out about the Wild Mouse.
