Someone always comes along to try to save these things but it tends to be all talk. I'll believe it when I see it. And if the stars align and it does happen, I'll get down there pronto!
Saying "at least they didn't get a Volare" isn't exactly inspiring praise 😅
I bet it was a Eurofighter as it was cheaper than other options. Two of the other eurofighters in the UK are in the South as well, Thorpe isn't even that far away. I was really hoping for something new and original...
>It's a eurofighter
>it has OTSR
Probably the worst possible thing I was hoping for. Still, this will be the ride that finally gets me to Paulton's Park lol
Oh wow I did get lucky though I did come back a few days ago at this point. Also not lucky because it was a Dutch (and I think either French or Belgian) national holiday meaning it was slammed and I put all my focus on the coasters and exploring the park and not on any of the other rides...
I am going to elaborate on this now I've finished my 2 days at Phantasialand.

The above says it all really, but this is a masterpiece in terms of atmosphere and theming. The layout is really good too, especially the second launch - my favourite part was actually just after this, where for...
The Zamperla Volare, because you're basically trapped in a torture cage the entire time. It's both restrictive in terms of movement, yet not restrictive enough so you bump around everywhere. I feel like a flying coaster should not be something you try to make cheaply, but they did it anyway.
Hyperia would be there but that non-working splashdown loses points for me.
Nemesis definitely has one of the best coasters for its length in my opinion, at least from what I've done. Doesn't last that long, but there's next to no filler, besides one or two turns which were a requirement to...
I can do a top 5 with my wimpy 81 credits.
1. Helix, Liseberg
2. Taiga, Linnanmaki
3. Hyperia, Thorpe Park
4. Nemesis (Reborn), Alton Towers (probably ties Hyperia tbh)
5. Balder, Liseberg
I got this far and then realised there were about 10 coasters I could pick for the next 5 spots and I...
I think it is as simple as back in the day, you could accept a bit of roughness or jank on older rides, but newer coasters tended to be smooth, especially B&Ms. Now though, rides are expected to be smoother due to technological advancements and sometimes you get brand new coasters that just...
For me it's just doing UK parks or coasters I've not yet done. The only reason I'm (likely to be) going to Alton Towers this year is because there's a Live, I otherwise wasn't planning on going at all. Fantasy Island I have been curious about for a while as I have seen the coasters in person but...
