S&S Axis Coaster for Saudi Arabia FEC's

I would expect you're right. Pretty much every SEVEN location appears as if it will have a kids area with some variety of SBF coaster. Supposedly Yanbu and a few other ancillary cities were supposed to be opening this year. Yanbu's exterior looked done the last I'd seen, but the interior...

Tama Tech Motopia - The Weirdest Park In A Country Of Weird Parks - Part 3

I love the idea of a modern-ish Virginia Reel and the theme is actually kind of fantastic. The curved lift is fascinating just because there doesn't seem to be a reason for it beyond just that they could. Guessing that came back to bite them at some point with the revisions. Amazing park...

Tama Tech Motopia - The Weirdest Park In A Country Of Weird Parks - Part 3

One of my favorite parks from history. Such cool stuff. I love the knot of tracked rides through the valley.

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

Yes-- it'll get reverse boosted up the cliff dive and then back down to go up and over.

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I've seen the thing in person and have talked to a few of the folks that have been there for testing. I can assure you there's nothing AI about it-- it's just an incredible moment that I don't think I ever expected to get here. So hyped to ride this in a 6ish months.

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I'm late checking in on this thread, but yes it's made it around. Multiple segment testing at this point, but it has completed the circuit as far as I am led to believe.

Falcon's should have finished its first lap in the next few weeks, so I would think it's that.

Wiener Prater | Wiener Looping | Mack BigDipper Coaster | 2025

I'll be there in about a month and I was thinking it was a definite that this would be ready. But I'm getting increasingly nervous.

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I would fully expect to see onride footage. You can find various clips of Sky Loop at BLVD World, Premier has posted their own video and in the case of SF it's likely to be filming by permission only and probably by professional services. Filming and cameras aren't really an issue. I've...

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

Hotels are starting to frame up-- concrete shells of 2 of them are up. But they're far behind the parks. The parks will open before the hotels are ready (and before the parking lot too since that's under the hotels). They'll operate out of a temporary lot for the first bit. The whole area is...

S&S Axis Coaster for Saudi Arabia FEC's

I was an an IAAPA tour of this facility a few weeks ago. It's funny how small this coaster looks-- just kind of tucked away in the corner. VERY tight clearances with the wall of the building. Honestly surprised me how close it was. Most of the rides are in now-- there's a disko coaster...

    Coaster Boneyard

It is, but maintenance happens. So I was able to get some items from it that way.

    Coaster Boneyard

I think a lot of us probably have parts and pieces from various places. A lot of parks have tended to sell bits of used stuff or pieces from defunct coasters. I have wood from maybe 6 or 7 wooden coasters, some rail from Kraken, wheels from Manta, Kraken, Ice Breaker & Atlantis, launch cable...

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I would very much disagree that it lacks a soul. The clever supports, unique engineering, and one of a kind setting really make it stand out for me. Having seen in person a few months ago, the scale is just absolutely wild. I love projects with interesting design and this one checks all those...

    Your 2024 in Review

This is a fun thread to read. I've enjoyed everyone's posts thus far. 2024 was a strange year for me. I left my job at SeaWorld Orlando, taking a new role with an engineering company in Saudi Arabia. A big change in my life and for my coaster riding. The year started ok, then slowed down...
