Very impressive. This is one of those things I never really expected to see. The project always seemed too ambitious and I've seen funding for things like this dry up so many times. But to actually see the hill completed is incredible. They've got a long way to go, but this is a big step.
My worst is the Ultra Twister at Rusutsu Resort. So much effort to get there and the very first park of our Japanese coaster trip only to find it shut for the season early. Hopefully one day I'll get back...
Another update out of KSA for Six Flags Saudi: it will have the world's tallest drop tower. Looks like it's going to be an S&S tower-- I would assume a turbo drop-- at a staggering 475' tall. That's going to beat the record, but I pretty good margin. Judging by the size of the tower, this is...
I don't count powered or mountain, which eliminates a lot of issues for me.
The two biggest ones are probably the gravity powered wooden wild mouse type ghost trains at Conneaut Lake and Camden Park. RCDB delisted these a while ago, but they coaster uphill by gravity, run on/in a track, and...
I'm very excited for this park and not just because I'm going to be living about 30 minutes away from this park when it opens.
Beyond Falcon's Flight, which despite potential layout blandness is likely to be pretty incredible, you've got the GCI, the launched Intamin with the spike, the...
Was nice looking back at Rocket Cycles. What a stupidly weird ride. But so much fun.
I should've exited the shop before you took that photo in the IMG gift shop....
I was so disappointed with Motiongate. I want to like the park. And with everything being open, I think I could like the park. But at least till my next visit, every time I think of the park I'll first remember all the closed rides (and stupid secured glasses policies).
Kind of wild that my account still works after all those years.
Nice summary of the trip so far! It was a good time! Missing some Flying Aces and immaculately clean restrooms.
@Canobie-- glasses thing should be fine now. I rode later in the day and was ok.
For me, this one sits below Fury 325, Behemoth, and Leviathan, but above the rest of the North American ones.
Hi All,
I'm glad my login still works! I got asked to post my Facebook review of Mako on here as other might be interested. I've clocked 80 rides so far as part of testing and it's a really enjoyable ride. Probably 2nd or 3rd favorite in Florida.
Here is my review:
Overall the coaster is...
Hey guys! It's been a little while. I've done a ton of park trips lately, but thought a few hours at Harry Potter might be worth a report. This was written a little more for non-coaster enthusiasts, but hopefully you'll enjoy that and some of the pictures!

That 90 degree banked turn is just...odd looking...
I hope it works well since the rest of the ride looks great. I would imagine some of the airtime is going to be incredible, especially on those last few hills. I just hope it rides decently well... I'm never really sure what to expect from...
This is just awful... Will was an awesome guy. That's going to be devastating for the park. He was the driving force between making the park as nice as it always was. I hope they're able to carry on with everything. Really terrible news...
^ *those cars.
It's because this ride was already commissioned for the F1 park in Dubai with these trains. I expect it was a park specification or something to do with the layout. I don't expect it'll become a norm. Seems like a one time only deal.
