Xeric (Complete - Download and Video Page 2)

I decided to start a new coaster, an Intamin Mega coaster, as I have been wanting to do one of these for a while. I have used AHG as I thought I'd give it a go again, as I feel it makes my ride better, which is why I am using it (Please do not start any tool debates in this topic. I have chosen to use it and that is it). So, here are some pictures of parts of the layout, colours are default at the moment:

Looks good so far.
How tall and long is it?

It is around 152ft tall and about 3990ft long.

Hmm, lengthen it a bit, to around 4,000ft. or so, and it'll be good

What's the first drop like?

Rest of it looks good. Nice and flowing.

^^That extra 10ft will make it so much better. :lol:

^Thanks for the comment and about the drop, it isn't a conventional drop, but it's pretty hard to get a good angle of it but these were the best pictures I could get without showing the whole coaster really:

I like it! It looks very unique and shows your skill for uniqueness.

I love it whenever I see you post a UC topic, I always watch it.

Drop looks good, but it would have been better crossed with a small kind-of-over-bank, so it drops a bit, then as it levels out it goes up a bit into an overbank and finishes a drop.

Thanks for the comments so far everyone. I know what you mean Blaze but I'll keep it as it is I think. Anyway let's get onto the good stuff.

Update

The coaster has been named Helios, I have chosen some colours, and have started to support. Here are some pictures of what is done so far:

Sorry Xpress but I loved Slither's train colours so much I had to have that white. :--D

Changed the colours as I wasn't sure about the old ones, tell me what you think of these, and a bit more supporting done:

Personaly I think a pure blue colour would be better, like Irn Bru Revolution, but I dont mind them as they are, dare I say I like them ever so slightly.

^Thanks for the comment. I haven't done much since the last update as I've had a busy week but now I have a lot of time on my hands, so work should speed up a bit, if I have the motivation to finish it. Anyway here's a small update, some more supporting:

Hmm, yess, I quite like those colors.

I have made some big changes to this now after thinking some more about theming and colours. Firstly, the name has been changed to Xeric, representing the new theme of a deserted wasteland, which has also brought me to some new colours. I will also be adding a custom station and maybe other small bits of theming. I have also done some more supporting, which is a bit crazy because of the turnaround. So here's one screenshot to show all the changes so far:

OoOh I like the turn. Unique. I think the colours blend a little too much with the ground, but it does work for the wasteland idea.

Thanks for the comment. A bit more now, more supports and a custom station. The station isn't anything special as I don't want to spend a load of time on it, not bothered about a lot of detail, just wanted a simple building that could work for the theme, so here it is:

I really don't want to triple post, but I have to because one has commented...anyway Xeric is finally finished!

Nothing grew on the deserted wastleland, all it consisted of was a flat plain of mud. Then suddenly one day, the ground started to shake, cracks appearing everywhere. As the ground trembled a 150ft tall monster emerged from beneath, taking up 3989ft in length. The shakes stopped and the demon lay on the dirt, and is still there till this very day, where if approached, will deliver the experience of a lifetime. I give you, Xeric.

That first drop.. just meh.. puts me off so much. I thought it would have more airtime but just seems to delay would could be a fantastic drop.

The airtime hills felt a bit jerky, just didn't feel Intamin to me.

Stengel dive was awesome.

Pacing felt a little dead at the end, not by alot, but you might have benefited from either a taller machine or ending it a bit earlier.

Overall.. 7.5/10

I like it.. but doesn't blow me away.
