Your thoughts? Would you want one?

I'd actually crawl on my hands and knees everywhere instead of having to drive around in the piece of crap. Imagine being in a head on collision in that, you would stand no chance.

Works well in India where the streets are crammed full of traffic and you need something small. But in most countries it wouldn't stand a chance on the roads.

How tight you squeeze before you fart? You can do that in a cheap car too ;)

I would if I was desperate for a new car I guess..? Only traveling a few miles a day or something?

Maybe

Depends on how desperate I was. It may be the future with the economic crisis at the moment.

So Maybe

Please, give me five minutes whilst I sell my current car and buy five of those ****ers, then with the change I will drink myself into the ground and drive one off a cliff.

I think this is the only rear wheel drive hatch you can get atm (apart from the BMW 1-series) so it's awesome <3

You can have the satisfaction of doing whatever you want with five of them. Here are some examples

Car Bowling
Car Darts
Drive the car into the caravan
Fill the car with chavs and push car into lake

the list goes on!

I think these cars could be quite useful...

Hate to say it....but this is old news :p I heard about it quite a while ago...

Nonetheless, $2500!!! That's a bargain, even if you don't get a built in stereo, air-con and sat nav that we all seem to need (Except me, I don't drive :p)

That thing has got to be dreadfully slow, plus basic features like air conditioning, cd player, power locks are extra. I don't know how it will work elsewhere, but with all of the SUV/trucks in the US, it wouldn't stand a chance in a collision. Even more so in a drag race. I think that the SMART fourtwo looks like a better and safer choice in the small two seater market. German built vs. Indian built, there is no comparison whatsoever.

No, haha, I'd rather get a normal, safer used car than that.

Although, in a crash or something, I think the Smartcar would be worse. You wouldn't even be able to find the pieces after a head-on collision in one of those things!

But umm, meh, it's not great and I'd go for something else first, more than likely.

Ok am I the only person who thinks awwww cute?
I'd love one if I lived in say.. a city where you cant go very fast and just want to nip from a to b, I like to drive fast though and do a lot of motorway driving where that thing has no chance, altough when they launch it in the uk it will have a 1litre engine so it will be a bit better (my citroen C3 only has 1.1 and that can shift when I make it)
as for crashes, don't drive into lorries and you wil be fine

Unless they make it faster than its current maximum of 45, it wouldn't be viable in the UK.

However, that's only 10mph off the American limit, so I suppose it could work over there.

But I think it's great idea, we've studied it in economics and our class thinks it's a great move by the business to get themselves into the car market with such a basic design. It caters for the current market in India so well and could also be a success in other countries if (as I say) they can increase the speed on it to at least 60.
